I was inspired to write this article after a few interesting synchronicities played out for me. I was watching “60 Minutes” over the weekend and the first segment of the show was about the Iran issue in regards to the US being angry at the fact that Iran is obtaining “hi-tech materials and components for a variety of weapons,” nuclear weapons that is, so they say. Now, from my sources and understanding of this situation, I’d like to play devil’s advocate and question the sanctions of the US government and their accusations towards Iran.
READ THE 60 MINUTES SEGMENT HERE
In the segment, 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl interviewed Mohammad Vaghari, an Iranian who has lived in the US for 15 years and is facing up to 85 years in prison for being accused of dealing weapons technologies to Iran. Vaghari is waiting to stand trial for charges implying that he conspired to send U.S. technology to Iran through a trading company he set up in his basement apartment in Philadelphia.
Article Statements and My Thoughts:
“You are charged with trying to buy a centrifuge that could be used to make biological weapons like anthrax,” Stahl remarked.
“I don’t know about that. I’m not a biological expert to tell you…,” Vaghari said.
“That’s in the affidavit, and it’s part of the charges against you,” Stahl said.
“Yes, that’s what they say,” Vaghari replied.
The charges here, in my opinion, are absolutely ridiculous. “You are charged with trying to buy a centrifuge that COULD be used to make biological weapons like anthrax.” There are two things to think about here. One would be the fact that this centrifuge is BEING MANUFACTURED IN THE US, and the second would be the fact that there is NO PROOF of the centrifuge being used in this way. Why isn’t anyone calling out the US and asking them why they MANUFACTURED it? Isn’t it possible that they could use it in the same manner?
“A lot of the investigative work is done by ICE, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Clark Settles, a special agent with ICE, says the wake-up call came in 2005 when U.S. soldiers in Iraq stumbled upon an unexploded roadside bomb. Inside the IED was an American chip.”
“And what I can say is that they’re finding that on a regular basis, that there’s U.S. components inside of IEDs in Iraq and Afghanistan,”
“U.S. items smugglers were caught buying for Iran that could be used in their nuclear program: ballistic missile parts, tiny radar components, and sensitive devices crucial to build a nuclear bomb, called “pressure transducers.”
Now, who do you blame here? Do you blame the people using them or do you blame the people manufacturing them? Is it possible that the US uses these same components to make their own lethal weapons? Absolutely. Once again, how do you charge someone for selling something to a country that you are responsible for manufacturing in the first place? Especially when you have no proof of these components being used in the manner of your accusations?
“Majid Kakavand is an Iranian electrical engineer from Tehran. He was tracked down a year ago as he landed in Paris on vacation. The French sent him to prison pending his extradition to the U.S. where he faces charges that he tricked several American companies into shipping tens of thousands of electrical components destined for Iran, but via Malaysia.”
“Nowhere else in the world this is considered as a crime. Nowhere else except in the United States,” attorney Diane Francois
“Francois is Kakavand’s lawyer in Paris, where he’s fighting his extradition to the U.S. She explains that in Europe there are no sanctions against trading with Iran, except when it comes to arms and nuclear sales.”
“The United States is somehow asking foreign countries to recognize their embargo, their national defense interest, while it is not at all the one of other sovereign countries,”
These statements speak for themselves.
All in all, what we are seeing here is a clear indication that the US is not happy with Iran and they are accusing them of producing “weapons of mass destruction.” This was the case with the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. The Americans accused Iraq and Saddam Hussein of having produced weapons of mass destruction. It sparked a great war in the Middle East, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed, oil fields were taken over by major corporations and yet, no WMD were to be found. Still to this day they have not found anything. It is all simply speculation. What we are seeing here is the exact same tactic in all of the countries that the US has invaded within the Middle East. It’s becoming blatantly obvious. Are these lies being told in order to serve a hidden agenda? I’ll leave it for you to decide. It’s something to deeply think about…
I send you my infinite and unconditional Love and Light,
