As we write this one we find ourselves in Thunder Bay, still about 8 hours from reaching the border of Ontario and Manitoba. The amount of time it takes to get from Toronto to Manitoba is quite crazy lol Who thought of making the invisible borders of Ontario so big?
Day 1 was nice as we made our way all the way up to Sault Ste Marie. Was the first night we slept with our full out setup in the back of the car and it was a great sleep. Nothing all that eventful in day one but we did manage to see a gem of a sign on the way out. Got a kick out of this one for some reason.
We woke up this morning and had someone come over to our car as they noticed the decals and were interested in finding out about what CE was all about. We got to talking and found out he has been operating his truck off of vegetable oil for the past few years. Great to meet people who are thinking outside the box and know of alternative solutions. Just goes to show that many of us are out there and things really are changing quite rapidly amongst people.
We made our way up to Thunder Bay where we will be staying for the night. We made an afternoon stop at Pancake Bay provincial park for a quick swim and some lunch. Was a nice little place to hang out and enjoy the sun. Ontario truly is a beautiful place. We covered a lot of ground once again today and are set to be in Manitoba by tomorrow. Wednesday will be our first interviews as we will be visiting an Earthship with Cari-Lee! We are looking forward to officially beginning filming for this documentary! We are hoping to stop in at Manitoba Harvest to get an interview with them about Hemp. So far no response though!
We shall keep you all updated! If you are on our route through to BC and down to New Mexico be sure to email us, we would be happy to meet up!
Here are some pics of Ontario.
