This animate was adapted from a talk given at the RSA by Sir Ken Robinson, world-renowned education and creativity expert and recipient of the RSA’s Benjamin Franklin award. He brings up a lot of good points and goes into important topics such as ADHD, how school is boring and how our world is experiencing rapid transitions which continues to show how education is becoming more irrelevant by the day. He brings up great points of why we need to re-think and change current education paradigms.

  1. Yes,..this is for Joe Martino..(my name is Peter Ancona… peterancona1@gmail )..he might remember me…my comment is my friend teaches Grad school at 3 universities now,and has his Doctorate from Columbia, and I have been sending him Ken Robinson’s stuff from You Tube for a year now,and when I saw this on Facebook,…I looked for a button for “e-mail” and there was none…I want him to see this article, not just the CE You Tube version, which has only the video…he is limited to how much he can deviate in his classes, but gets away with a lot of stuff and want him to see this..He has no time for Facebook or signing up for an account…he is that busy…he has 3 kids in College and money is his priority now,so he teaches at all those colleges & is exhausted when he has spare time…see if CE admins can put an e-mail button up there,Joe….Thank You ~ Peter

Grade school teachers are lazy and don’t want to spend more time then they have to on any particular subject or student.

One thing you could do is copy and paste this video, if you can’t find the original and then paste this video in an email to him, that might work

  4. The guy talks well but doesn’t know that ADHD meds are more like amfetamines than like tranquillizers. They do wake these children up and increase concentration. Just like coffee, cola or certain energy drinks. Personally I am against Ritalin because we don’t know what it does to the brain later, amfetamines cause psychosis, so then antipsychotics are needed and the person will be blocked from reaching his natural level of performance for good.
