Researchers Discover That Fuel Can Be Made From Sunlight

REACTORS

Scientists have developed a reactor that mimics plants by turning sunlight into fuel. This is another discovery that could be implemented on a mass scale simply by using the sun. Researchers at the California Institute of Technology have built a reactor with a quartz window that absorbs sunlight and acts as a concentration device to direct sunlight to a desired location. In the center of the reactor is something called oxide, which allows oxygen to exhale from its crystalline structure at high temperatures, and inhale oxygen back at lower temperatures.

Specifically, the inhaled oxygen is stripped off of carbon dioxide (CO2) and/or water (H2O) gas molecules that are pumped into the reactor, producing carbon monoxide (CO) and/or hydrogen gas (H2). H2 can be used to fuel hydrogen fuel cells; CO, combined with H2, can be used to create synthetic gas, or “syngas,” which is the precursor to liquid hydrocarbon fuels. Adding other catalysts to the gas mixture, meanwhile, produces methane. And once the ceria is oxygenated to full capacity, it can be heated back up again, and the cycle can begin anew. (SOURCE)

Three years after the discovery of converting sunlight into fuel, we still have  yet to see any progress in the global energy industry with regards to new, clean energy technologies. It’s no secret that an abundant amount of alternative energy technologies are available for use that could help change and restore the planet into her most natural state. Living and consuming energy in a way that is more harmonious with the planet requires the implementation of these technologies and would not even equate to one person having to give up any “wants” or “likes” within their life. The only people that would see any loss, would be the multi-trillion dollar energy industry that thrives off oil and environmental degradation.  It also requires a shift in consciousness, a simple realization that we are the ones that choose the way we want to operate, and what we  use as a resource to do so.

It’s 2013, and enough evidence has presented itself to the masses that shows how the energy industry spends an enormous amount of resources to cover up, conceal and divert attention from new energy technologies. Most new energy alternatives we hear about usually come directly from the oil industry anyway. Think about it, if you want new ways of generating energy, why would you ask the oil industry to do it for you? Collective Evolution has covered new energy technologies in depth since it’s launch. You can view our article on the zero point energy cover-up HERE, vortex induced vibrations HERE, and the searl effect generator HERE. Hopefully these can provide you with a little more insight into energy and the industry that governs it.

There is indeed quite a lot of alternative energy proposals at the moment mostly in the lab stage, with interesting possibilities, using only natural clean energy, but we have this already and has been in circulation for the last 20 years are so, including; photo, wind, wave, hydro, ground heat, source pumps etc etc, which we can use right now! and they. have come down in price substantially even in the last 18 months,
Perhaps it’s up to individuals that are aware of what most of us are doing to the environment through dirty technology using fossil fuels, to take the initiative ourselves, and invest in one or more of these technologies.

Governments will never promote these technologies whilst large corporations lobby our plutocracies, and donate large sums for this to continue.
    One must remember that
The internal combustion engine was invented 130 years ago, and hasn’t drastically change in that time! The basic concept of reciprocating pistons revolving around a crankshaft to develop rotative Power, is precisely the same as todayas it was in its conceptionall those years agoit’s just became more efficient with the use of electronic components etc etc…But isn’t it time, considering our ingenuity, to harness natural clean energy which is all around us! Even our world is a Molten ball of hot rock, just below the surface which surely could be exploited for our energy needs?

some of the very first “combustion engines” ran on split water, or hydroge-hydrogen-oxygen gas (HHO)…

    • Combustion still uses oil. We should strive for new free energy which already exists but has been kept from the People.

inb4 large electrical companies shut this research down

    • JFP

Can you provide links to evidence for that, Zyzz?

      • Eddie

@JFP, Can you provide links to evidence that his statement is not true? So many technologies have been created and none have materialized to replace gasoline burning engines. You mean to tell me that NONE of them worked? That all of them were just lab work and couldn’t be mass produced? On the other hand, we can surely see why oil companies would be interested in shutting down ANY technology which can bring down their profits.

        • JFP

I don’t mean to /tell/ you anything, Eddie – I merely asked a question. Is that not allowed?

          • Eddie

@JFP, yes you can certainly ask. But let’s be realistic, do you honestly think that Oil companies would leave HARD evidence around about their activies such as buying new upcoming techologies and shelving them so they don’t make it to the market and lower their profits as a result?

        • eco-blok

this myth of oil companies buying up technology to shelve it have been around since before high skool days … in the 60′s it was a 6 barrel carburetor invented by a Mexican that gave 60 mpg….

Errrrr, pardon me if I’m being a bit thick here, Erin – but what does that have to do with my question?

  4. Thankyou for giving me hope!!

Perhaps it’s time not to be so institutionalised our thinking, that large institutions or companies should supply OUR individual energy needs, perhaps we should take the responsibility for our personal consumption, and simply investigate and invest in sustainable energy sources ourselves.

Eg: I personally supplied my own energy requirements from wind and solar and currently supply excess energy that I generated back into the national grid, perhaps not everyone can do this, but surely the ones that can, should try their best to reduce their own carbon footprint, with the technology currently at our disposal.

After all if you wait to something better, and more efficient comes along, you will never take the plunge as it were, because there will always be improvements while we still have the resources to do so….And after that…

‘Welcome back to the stone age everyone’ for the ones that don’t perish, waiting for someone else to take the initiative !

  8. Get real. The transportation industry runs on liquid fuels. These fuels need to be cleaner, cheaper, smarter, and turn society’s solid, liquid and gaseous wastes into something the entire world needs: a “carbon-bridging pollution solution” producing the world’s strongest, cleanest alcohol fuel.

If your whizbang fuel requires a new fuel cell “engine” to use, it’ll always be a good research project or good fodder for harping on a conspiracy by bad guys to suppress “free” energy resources. But it won’t get the world across the carbon bridge. That’s the destination we should all be concerned about.

      THANK YOU JAY!
The science in many of these posts is lacking I find.

      • Frank

also, posting this on the facebook would receive lots of attention jay, you should link it to the CE’s group, as well as any other insights you have on the incorrectness of the science. While the positive intent is here, some of these posts are spreading the same misinformation we are making strong efforts to dispel.

This article doesn’t present the research accurately. This isn’t exactly a technology which can be readily used to produce energy on a large scale efficiently.

“For all of this to work, the temperatures in the reactor have to be very high—nearly 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit. …. But for a real-world test, she says, “we needed to use photons, so we went to Switzerland.” …the researchers…installed the reactor on a large solar simulator capable of delivering the heat of 1,500 suns.”

I’m sure that there are fuel sources that are better alternatives to the current reliance on petrochemicals, but dramatic emotive articles like this that are not based on reality are not helpful.

“Sirius” is a feature length documentary that follows Dr. Steven Greer – an Emergency Medicine doctor turned UFO/ New Energy researcher – as he struggles to disclose top secret information about classified energy & propulsion techniques. Along the way, Dr. Greer investigates new technology and sheds light on criminal suppression. He accumulates over 100 Government, Military, and Intelligence Community witnesses who testify on record about their first-hand experiences with UFOs and with the cover-up.

In the course of his research Dr. Greer is asked to look at an amazing find: a humanoid specimen, 6 inches long from the Atacama Desert. Not until 2012 was he given permission to take bone samples and DNA from the specimen. At that same time a pre-eminent geneticist, hearing of this find, offered to do DNA testing. He enlisted an MD from the same university,- world renowned for his work with skeletal anomalies, to view the x-rays and CT scans. Their expertise along with Dr. Greer’s expansive knowledge of the subject bring more questions than answers. Where did this “Atacama Humanoid” come from? Are there others like it? What does it say about the origin of the human species?

While on this odyssey, the audience gains a whole new perspective on technology, human evolution, and clandestine organizations who have manipulated and controlled the public for centuries.
