Sweden recently became the first European Union (EU) member in Western Europe to officially recognize the state of Palestine. As several others across Europe have done the same.

Last week, Swedish prime minister followed through with his plans, as The Swedish Foreign Ministry posted a message on Twitter making their announcement and stated that they “expressed hopes for a peaceful coexistence with Israel and Palestine.” (source)

“Our decision comes at a critical time because over the last year we have seen how the peace talks have stalled, how decisions over new settlements on occupied Palestinian land have complicated a two-state solution and how violence has returned to Gaza. By making our decision we want to bring a new dynamic to the stalled peace process. We are now ready to take the lead. We hope this can show the way for others” (source)

According to the New York Times Israel fears that the move by Sweden could lead other influential European countries to follow suit, something that Israeli officials say would pre-empt the results of future negotiations over a  Palestinian state with agreed borders. (source)

According to Israel:

” The decision of the Swedish government to recognize a Palestinian state is a deplorable decision which only strengthens extremist elements and Palestinian rejectionism.” (source)

The Muslim territories in the Gaza strip and West Bank have been searching for independence from the Jewish occupiers for many years. This conflict is one of the most tragic and prolonged conflicts in human history , supposedly between Israel and Hammas, with Hammas being labelled as “terrorists” by Israel and used as constant justification for the destruction of Palestine and murder of innocent civilians.

Western corporate media has bombarded the populace with the idea that Israel has the right to defend itself. Is this another 9/11 scenario? Are Israel and the United States supporting, sponsoring, and encouraging “terrorism” in order to justify acts of war? For some kind of agenda that much of the mainstream world doesn’t even know about? What do you think? Is Israel systematically whipping out an entire race? Is Hammas not letting up, leaving Israel with no choice?

It’s never wrong to ask questions.

More people are starting to ask these questions, and there are a number of differing opinions on the subject. Here’s one of them from Abby Martin at Rt news.

HERE is a video of Senator David Norris, an Irish academic, senator and civil rights activist. He’s been credited with a number of successes, including overthrowing the anti-homosexuality law in 1988 after a fourteen-year campaign. A video of him has popped up on the world wide web and seems to be getting lots of attention. In it, he condemns Israel for their actions in Gaza, expressing how he feels they are defying the world and using the Holocaust to justify what they are doing.

What Can We Learn From This Conflict?

As always, when it comes to global conflict and the political agendas involved, it’s hard to know what is really happening and why it’s happening. More and more people, everyday, are losing complete trust in corporate media for their lack of ability to provide people with truthful information.

At the end of the day all of this boils down to human beings killing other human beings. This isn’t really a religious conflict as we’ve been made to believe. No religion on the planet preaches this kind of behavior. Regardless of what you believe, there is absolutely no justification for murder, and it should never be considered a solution to any problem.

What is happening in Gaza is something that does not need to be a part of the human experience anymore. This is something no human being desires or agrees with, regardless of weather you believe that these conflicts are purposely manufactured and prolonged or not. Nobody resonates with this type of activity unless their consciousness can be manipulated to justify  and accept murder which we’ve seen happen before.

It’s time to snap out of it, wake up and stop participating in it.

At the same time, it is natural and important for us to critically question what is really happening because it can be hard see solutions when what is really happening is not well understood or cloaked in secrecy.

It’s hard to comment on an issue where much of the world (I believe) has been left in the dark regarding the truth behind this conflict. The fact that Western media has been the source of information coming out of the region makes it hard to present something that takes a completely different perspective, so I’m going to stay away from it.

The fact that we still have to protest the murder of innocent people as we approach 2015 is ridiculous. Imagine living on a planet where there was no conflict. I’m not a dreamer, the solutions are there and we have the potential to create something like that. Human beings, at birth, in their most natural state prior to entering a world of mass programming, are peaceful, loving accepting creatures. We are taught and programmed to behave the way we do today.

Imagine how far we would go, and how we would be able to use our resources and intelligence to leap into greater discovery about ourselves, the true nature of our reality and more, if we could all learn to cooperate together.
