There are so many people that are extremely skeptical when it comes to juicing. I have heard it so many times, why don’t you just eat the fruits and veggies instead? Wouldn’t that be healthier? Well, to be honest, yes, it probably would be. But who has the time or desire to sit down and eat all of those fruits and veggies in one sitting?

Their nutrients are absorbed quickly and efficiently, and the amount of nutrients going into your body is increased exponentially. You are increasing your water consumption because many of the vegetables used in juicing have a high water content. Drinking juice gives your digestive system a break and assists with gut health, which is linked to overall mental well-being.

Simple Recipe For Go-To Green Juice

*Use organic whenever possible, if not possible be sure to wash the produce before use.

  • 1 English Cucumber
  • 1/2 Bunch Celery
  • 1/2 Bunch of Lacinato or Dino Kale
  • 1/2 Lemon Peeled
  • 2-3 Apples

Optional add ins: small handful of cilantro, parsley or dandelion OR 1 small nub of ginger.


Cut up all ingredients and put through a good quality juicer, to get the best yield an auger style juicer works very well. Drink immediately or store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Note: It is important to drink green juice on an empty stomach, this will ensure that the nutrients are absorbed by the body in the most efficient way possible. It is also recommended that you don’t eat for at least an hour after consuming the green juice. Many people claim that it is also important to chew or swish your green juice in your mouth before swallowing. There are enzymes in your saliva that prepare the body to absorb all of the wonderful nutrients.
