Because we’re living in a world of hyper stimulation (tv, cell phones, computers, etc.), we rarely give ourselves an opportunity to sit in silence and process our days. We go, go, go until we pass out at night from exhaustion.
If we do not allow ourselves to pause, eventually we become stressed, overwhelmed, exhausted, and burnt out.
What that really means, is that silence takes practise.
When our minds are silent, we have the opportunity to listen to our hearts and reflect on our lives.
It’s been estimated that we experience anywhere between 50,000-70,000 thoughts in one day. It takes time to be able to quiet these thoughts at will. When we meditate, we are slowing down the frequency of our brains as well as calming the physical, emotional, and mental body.
Even 5 minutes per day can bring about some pretty amazing physical and emotional benefits. A simple Google search on the benefits of meditation will bring up hundreds of resources if you’re interested in learning more about this incredible practice.
I strongly recommend meditation to anyone looking for an easy, enjoyable way to reduce stress, improve their overall sense of well-being, heighten their metaphysical abilities, deepen their connection with themselves, and love their everyday experience.

Below I’ve included one of my mini guided meditations for relaxation. It’s great to use at any point in the day or evening to bring about feelings of peace and relaxation.
