One of my favorite side effects of meditation is boosting my energy. I find that when I let go of the day’s stresses, I discover a newfound energy within myself.

Imagine your energy like an inflated tire and every time you worry or stress over something, you poke a hole in that tire.

Some of us have hundreds of little holes in our tires from the numerous minor stresses of the day. Others have a few stresses but pour a lot of their energy into it by complaining and focusing on that particular issue. Either way, you’re draining your energy.

There is no guarantee that life will be stress free. What we are in control of is how we react to life’s challenges.

When we react poorly, we create more holes. When we deal with challenges appropriately we keep the air in our tires and get further in life.

One of my favorite ways of dealing with life’s challenges is by meditating. It helps me to release stress, “patch up” any holes in my life that are draining me of energy and carry on with the rest of my day feeling relaxed and re-energized.
