Intake of granola also helps to lower blood pressure, increase cognitive activity, improve skin quality, build stronger bones, manage diabetes, stimulate new tissue and hormonal growth, and even prevent cancer.


Granola is great meal to have for breakfast, paired with either fruit, yogurt, or milk, but it is also a fantastic snack to munch on all by itself. Either way, you’ll be left feeling satisfied.

For this recipe you will need:

2.5 Cups Rolled Oats

1 Cup Chopped Almonds

1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts

1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds

1/2 Cup Pumpkin Seeds

1/2 Cup Dried Cranberries or Raisins

1 tsp. Cinnamon

1/2 tsp. Sea Salt


4 Tbsp. Pure Maple Syrup

1 Tbsp. Coconut oil

2 Tbsp. Applesauce

2 Tbsp. Peanut Butter

3/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar (or less if you are looking to cut back on your sugar consumption, or you can substitute organic coconut sugar for a lowered glycemic index)


Start by preheating your oven to 300° celsius. Mix together dry ingredients in large bowl then melt wet ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn down to low and stir frequently for 5 minutes. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and then stir to combine. Spread evenly on a parchment lined baking sheet and then bake in the oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

Let cool for 25 minutes and then you’re all set to enjoy! It’s also best to store it in an airtight container for future nibbles!
