Hollywood actress and environmental activist Susan Sarandon explains to BBC’s Evan Davis why she is not supporting Hillary Clinton for US president.
When challenged with the question on many women from older generations “Don’t you think it would be important to have a woman elected for president in the US?” She replied “I don’t vote with my vagina, this is bigger than that and I don’t want to spend a lot of time talking about Trump and Hillary because that’s not why I’m here.”
These words are precisely the point. We are always pushed into arguing over one side vs the other. Trump vs Hillary. But that only pushes us to pick sides and identify with one or the other which ultimately leads us to simply pick on the other person every time ‘our’ person gets attacked.
Why not talk about the issues? The important things that a candidate will do and not just talk about what someone won’t do or isn’t good at and so forth?
A quick side before going forward, at CE we encourage readers to think differently about the elections. We’ve been challenged for exposing Hillary’s corrupt nature so much with allegations of being misogynistic. This is a perfect example of what media has trained us to do, avoid the truth by calling someone names for making a good point.
We don’t support Trump nor Hillary. And that’s how any news source should be. You report on what’s happening, what the mainstream media refuses to cover and let the people make up their own mind. It’s shocking only because people don’t see it in the media normally.
Susan also brings up a good point, the media, banks, corporations and so forth are all behind Hillary leaving no doubt she will win. What does this tell us? That any candidate who can pay enough and get enough corporations, media and powerful people in their back pocket can win popular vote. So what is this really all about even?
Any President is simply a front for the shadow government that elects them. This is a very difficult but important fact that must be accepted. Plenty has been covered in-depth about who’s really in control. Thankfully, this election and WikiLeaks is helping to make this clear.
We Must Be Courageous
Many have spent a lot of time following their curious inclinations and intuition that something isn’t quite right here. Researching and digging to find out what’s really going on, and in that search discover there really is no way Trump can win. Julian Assange came out with this on RT recently as well.
I’m going to be frank here, pulling the gender card on anyone exposing Hillary for being an insanely corrupt/criminal politician is not right. We have to put our pride aside, our identification with a political party aside, grow up, be adults and accept the fact that she’s not fit to run anything, never mind a country.
I’m sorry that the only large scale choices are Hillary and Trump in the illusory vote, but it doesn’t mean we turn a blind eye to the things they are both doing because we don’t want to see it.
We’re being challenged to move on from an old, broken and corrupt system, and in the face of that we have to be courageous enough to admit that vs. holding on so dearly. There is a MUCH bigger reason why Hillary and Trump are in the lime light this election, it’s a perfect time to see the truth. A collective evolution is in the midst, it may seem uncomfortable, but it’s leading us to amazing insight and change.
