The argument as to whether or not WiFi is safe is for us is a controversial one, and not just WiFI, but 3G, and other cell phone signals as well. When you think about it, we are being constantly bombarded by these signals, even if we are going through a nice hike through the forest, if you have your phone on you, you aren’t free. Just how detrimental are these signals to our health and what can we do to help mitigate the effects?
Mainstream science wants us to believe that these signals aren’t causing us any harm, but of course there is a vested interest in keeping us using these technologies. They are a part of our society, and I can’t imagine life without internet, I mean without it, how would you ever be able to read my articles on Collective Evolution?!
Why do we feel so good after walking in nature or camping? Sure, there are still some signals bouncing around, but not nearly as many as in an office building, a mall, or just walking down the city streets. It does feel great to disconnect from tech from time-to-time and plug into nature. Is it because of the break from the EMFs that gives us that calm, centred, relaxed and clear headed feeling? It could be.
Consider this… take your cell phone for example. We know that you aren’t supposed to hold it to your head when talking to someone. In fact, in most instruction booklets it clearly states to hold the phone a minimum of 2 inches away while talking on it. If EMFs weren’t harmful to us, why would this make a difference? Clearly, having these devices too close to our bodies can cause harm, but what about those frequencies that are flying through the air all around us?
Some Evidence To Back Up This Claim
Back in 2007, the Bioinitiative Working Group, an international collaboration of scientists and public health experts from the United States, Sweden, Denmark, China and Austria released a report consisting of 650 pages citing more than 2,000 studies that outline the toxic effects of exposure to EMFs.
The report concluded that chronic exposure to even low level radiation, like the levels that are emitted from cell phones, can actually cause a number of different cancers, impair the immune system and contribute to diseases such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, heart diseases and a variety of other ailments. Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University at Albany says, “We now have a critical mass of evidence that gets stronger every day.”
Main EMF Offenders In The Home & How To Mitigate Their Effects
- Laptops — If you are using a laptop regularly, like for your job, then you should definitely consider getting a detached keyboard and mouse for use. This helps to get your hands off of the device, which means less EMF exposure. Of course, this isn’t necessary when you are just quickly searching something, but anytime you are spending a prolonged period of time on your computer this will provide you with benefits.
- Cell phones — Use wired headphones or speakerphone when talking on the phone. This takes the phone away from your head, and thus limits your EMF exposure. Bluetooth speakers or headphones are not really a good option because they just emit more EMF so this would interrupt the effort.
- Personal Appliances — Use devices that don’t require electricity, or be sure to use them for a minimal amount of time.
- Kitchen Appliances — There’s not too much you can do here, you can unplug devices while not in use. Obviously don’t unplug your fridge or freezer,
- Ipads — There are in your hand during use, so try to keep your time on your ipad to a minimum, and use a EMF shield to help mitigate some of the frequencies
- Ereaders — Read books instead.
Turn your phone on airplane mode when you go to sleep and turn off your wifi signal, NEVER KEEP YOUR WIFI ROUTER IN YOUR ROOM. Actually, it’s best to not keep any electronic devices in your room if possible. If you do, it may be wise to leave your window open a crack.

A Faraday cage is an enclosure created by conducting materials that block external electric fields from an enclosed space. It’s similar to how lightning will not penetrate a metal car. When a radio wave of electrical pulse hits the outer metal screen of the cage it is distributed evenly over the surface of the cage, but does not go through the screen to the inside, so long as the holes of the screen are smaller than the size of the frequency. The metal cage acts as a conductor, meaning it becomes charged up when the frequencies come in contact. It is wise to ground the cage so that the electrical charge that is created is channeled down into the ground.

Some people have built faraday cages around their beds in order to get relief from these frequencies. By sleeping in a faraday cage you are ensuring that at least during sleep time, on average around 8 hours, you are free from these signals, so at least your body is getting a break.
This might be worth considering, even if to just see how you feel and if it makes a difference. Some people are more sensitive to EMFs than others. You can buy a Faraday cage online or make your own. There are many instructions to follow. Our health is our greatest wealth, so why not do everything we can to protect it?
