10 Lessons That Could Have Changed My Life As A Teen

Published

on

teenboyYou hear it all of the time, “well if I could only go back and tell myself… [insert lesson here] …than everything would be different now.” Given that we grow and learn throughout life it only seems natural that we would come to understand things more clearly as we got to experience them first hand. The seemingly difficult part is that it usually isn’t until after we have gone through the hardship, challenge or frustrations of doing the opposite that we come to realize the so-called “better” way.

Before beginning with the list that I’ve come up with, I’d like to share the following precursors with you all:

  • This list is one I have put together based on my own life. That being the case, some –or potentially even all –of these lessons may or may not be relatable to you. I encourage you to add as many of your own lessons as you can come up with in the comment section of the article.
  • The purpose of this article is not to get us all caught up in the regret of what was or what could have been had we had done differently. Remember that everything that has happened to this point in life has played a perfect role in making you who you are today.
  • Use this article as an instigator or reminder for creating change in your life right now. No matter who you are or what your situation is, one thing is true about all of us: in this lifetime we are never going to be younger than we are right now in this moment. Therefore, there will never be a better time to change things than right now, so why not?
  • This list is not put together in order of importance or significance.

1) Just because your body can seemingly handle anything, doesn’t make it okay to eat anything that you want to. Fast foods, sugary snacks, frozen dinners and anything else of that nature that I happily consumed throughout my teenage years should not be a regular part of anyone’s diet. The fact that I consumed as much of it as I did and still am around today in a healthy state shows just how strong and resilient the human body can be. Now imagine how much stronger it would be if it never had to process those unhealthy choices in the first place. It’s not to say you can’t have them at all, but having them in moderation is probably your best bet.

2) The outside world is always more interesting than the video game one. As fun as many video games can be, they will never be more important than the outside world. There is an entire real universe to explore filled with real people to interact with, so why get so caught up in a created one? You can still play them, and I still do, but again moderation seems like the best approach.

3) Don’t take school so seriously. I know instinctively this tip may receive some really negative reactions but please hear me out and keep in mind that this tip is based on my experience and is included here because it is something I would like to tell my 13-year-old self. School can be a wonderful experience and an awesome opportunity to connect with so many other people in a fun environment of mutual learning. See school as just that, and not as a treacherous life and death environment where every grade, test and assignment plays a critical role in the life that you will live. Let’s be honest, aside from potentially the last 1-2 years of high school, there is little to no difference between barely passing and achieving straight A’s in grade school, either way you move on to the next step. Enjoy the school experience, put in some hard work for the sake of learning but don’t let it become the bane of your existence.

4) Tryout/ play for more sports teams and extracurricular groups. It wasn’t until my second last year of high school that I became comfortable enough with myself to tryout/ play for all of the extracurricular’s that I had interest in. Play and be a part of whatever interests you; the fear of being judged or made fun of is not worth holding yourself back. Badminton, ultimate frisbee and curling were an awesome world I’m glad I got to at least experience for 2 of my high school years.

5) Don’t let your friends dictate your opinion of something/ someone. Make your own decisions! Just because another person came to conclude something doesn’t necessarily mean that it needs to be the conclusion for everyone else. Rather than simply accept public opinion, explore it for yourself. Even if it only leads you to agree with the original assessment, at least you got to figure it out first hand. So go talk to that cute girl! Just because someone else finds her annoying doesn’t mean that you will (Sorry, probably got a little too personal there haha)

6)  Before reacting to or creating drama, breathe! We play with overly dramatic situations all throughout life, but they always seem to come about that much more often throughout teenagehood. Rather than jumping on the opportunity to “start shit” take a second to breathe. It’s amazing what a really good deep breath can do, or in this case prevent you from doing. Let’s be honest, how much of the drama that we’ve been a part of has actually been warranted/ worth our time? Chances are if they made an episode about it on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ or ‘The O.C.’ it doesn’t really hold much substance.

7)  Enjoy and harness your natural beauty. This probably more naturally applies to females with the overwhelming pressures to wear make-up at earlier ages but I felt it really applied to me as a male as well. Not in regards to make-up but with hair care products. Whether it was to spike my hair, tame it down or to create a faux-hawk it felt like everyday I was putting more and more stuff in my hair. As amazing and fun as makeup and hair gels can be –especially for special occasions –to make them a part of your daily routine starting from such a young age can’t be healthy for your skin. We’re all beautiful, so let’s try and enjoy that as much as possible.

8) Be a leader. All new things in this world started with someone stepping outside of the box and deciding to create something different. Don’t be afraid to take the reigns on a new project/ idea. Even if it doesn’t work out in the end, the journey of trying to get there will more than likely be a heck of a lot more interesting than passively following someone else.

9) You will never have more time than you do right now. If the majority of us in the western world are blessed with one thing throughout our teenage years, it’s time. Rather than lofting in or accepting such regular states of boredom, seek fun and creative things to do with that time. We are never too young or old to make the best of some free time.

10) Life right now doesn’t suck as much as you think it does. Believe it or not, not having your driver’s license, not being the legal drinking age or not having a girlfriend/ boyfriend to fool around with are not viable reasons to conclude that life sucks. Life can suck just as easily even if you had all of those things and anything else you feel that you desire. Why? Because you aren’t finding peace in the now. Our minds are always going to want something more than what we currently have, so rather than getting caught up in the perpetual chase learn to love and live in this moment.

Be sure to add any of your own life lessons as a comment on this article, as well as if you agree or disagree with any of those that I mentioned. I look forward to reading your contributions!

Will Cyrptocurrencies Disrupt Central Banking? US Congress Meets To Discuss

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

Witnesses are testifying at a House Financiancial Services subcommittee on whether the government should consider cryptocurrencies as money and their uses. This could be a monumental moment in central banking disruption.

  • Reflect On:

Are you aware of how fiat currency currently works? Are you aware of what the central banking system is? Cryptocurrency has the potential to be a bridge that disrupts these enslaving systems and brings power back to people.

The buzz about cryptocurrencies seems to be as volatile as cryptocurrencies themselves, there is always a ‘war for our perception’ when it comes to something so threatening to the current financial system, and the way we’ve been doing things for years with regards to finance. Everybody from billionaires like tech investor Tim Draper, to ex-Facebook executive Chamath Palipitaya, to entertainers like Akon and more, have all urged the masses to look into Bitcoin, the current dominant cryptocurrency.

What makes cryptocurrencies so popular is not their potential to make a lot of money, but, from a financial perspective, it’s simply another option from “autocratic regimes and baking infrastructure that we know is corrosive to how the world needs to work properly.” Said Palipitaya about cryptocurrency a couple of years ago. “You cannot have Central Banks infinitely printing currency, you cannot have folks with misguided and misdirected monetary and fiscal policy…It’s a con game.”

Anything that can disrupt modern day banking is huge, given that this is the control hub of the Deep State and the ‘Cabal’ that seems to have its tentacles spread over all aspects of humanity, preventing solutions from being implemented quicker. Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund has even cautioned that cryptocurrencies could displace central banks and conventional banking in the long term.

Clearly a good thing for us, but not the financial elite who continue to benefit from a system that only serves a select few.

Cryptocurrencies can change this.

It’s About Disrupting Old Outdated Ways

Whether you know much about cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin or not, know that it threatens something so central, and something that has been holding humanity back in many ways for a long time. Banking.

Any disruption to our current banking system is a great leap forward, in any form, but ultimately, any type of currency with any type of value is not really needed here on planet Earth. But that’s a transition to take place over a period of multiple years if we choose to head the right direction as a collective.

This is why it would not be a surprise to see some big-time restrictions and regulation put on cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, in the United States and other parts of the world. There already has been, but at this point, Bitcoin doesn’t really seem like it can be stopped and looks like something that has a bright future, according to many. That being said, a lot of mainstream media and some big-time popular financial figures have constantly bashed and criticized it.

And others:

“Bitcoin is money outside of government, controlled by the people who become their own sovereignty. Bitcoin will do the nation-state what the printing press did to the church…The use-case as stateless money drives adoption because it’s universally appealing and fills a void every human being feels in their soul: to be free.”  – Max Kieser (source)

The thing is, can the government really do anything about cryptocurrency? The story goes that it was created without their permission, it went past the gatekeepers, are they really needed anymore? Is cryptocurrency beyond their reach? Do they have no choice but to perhaps join in and participate somehow?

Important questions… While some feel there can be a backdoor into some popular cryptocurrencies, it’s important to note that either way, people are beginning to learn about central banking and how enslaving the current system truly is.

Could It Be Used Worldwide Soon?

Right now, witnesses are testifying at a House Financiancial Services subcommittee on whether the government should consider cryptocurrencies as money and their uses.

Rodney Garratt, a professor of economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, claimed that the banks have to decide whether they want “to withdraw completely from providing a payment device for the general public,” or whether they prefer to adopt a digital alternative. Which, in turn, could be “some form of crypto.”

This seems to suggest some are pushing for the mainstream world to create a competitor to Bitcoin? If they wanted to make a cryptocurrency popular, the ‘gatekeepers’ and the Deep State no doubt could.

An article written for Cointelegraph explains:

Alex Pollock, senior fellow at the R Street Institute, argued that “to have a central bank digital currency is one of the worst financial ideas of recent times, but still it’s quite conceivable…” Pollock said that central bank digital currencies would only increase the size, role, and power of the bank, adding that the Federal Reserve adopting a CBDC would result in it become the “overwhelming credit allocator of the U.S. economic and financial system.”

The hearing includes a lot of people, not just academics, but engineers, entrepreneurs and more from the industry, one that seems to be growing rapidly with more adoption of cryptocurrencies.

Again, this is great that the financial world is being shaken up, and there is a big discussion to be had, but nothing can justify what we have today remains the same. Things are changing, and as always, heavy criticism and harsh resistance follow.

The Need For A Use Case

You hear a lot about new coins popping up, with ICO’s that reach within the millions. People buy in banking on the rise of the coin based on emotion alone. But what use does the new coin truly have? Or simply, is the coin tied to service, value or commodity of sorts that may suggest a greater value than simply emotion?

For example, Bitcoin is an old outdated version of cryptocurrencies already. What?! Yes. It’s payment processing times are slow, making it very difficult to be used as a means for everyday payment. It’s blockchain simply can’t scale to manage this sort of task. It also does not have any use case or service tied to it that makes it useful beyond being held as an investment. In other words, the only thing holding up Bitcoin’s value is emotion.

Whereas, if you look at a new crypto and new blockchain called TimiCoin (also TimiHealth and TimiDNA), you would find that not only is their blockchain robust enough to service many transactions at a time, but there is a powerful ‘use-case’ tied to the token that creates a ton of value. The use-case is simple: the Timi ecosystem allows people to access their health records instantly – and monetize their own data! This, instead of having corporations keep hold of your records, and having them sold to third parties to be monetized, where you get nothing, with your records, your data, you should be able to monetize it.

Timicoin is a cryptocurrency for the people. It allows them to take power back from corporations on something important and gives you the power to monetize.

Cryptocurrency, in general, has the potential to empower the people by keeping control out of the hands of government and corporations.

We recognize there have been doubts, and that crypto is simply part of an ‘elite‘ plan, but ultimately, we need a change in how we deal in currency, and this has the makings of it. There are both positive and negative tones coming out of this hearing, and that’s to be expected.

Why Humanity Is So Obsessed With Finding Aliens Right Now

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

Behind closed doors, quietly, billions are researching and trying to learn about the reality of aliens. It is one of the biggest topics being explored by humanity right now and there is a deep reason for this.

  • Reflect On:

Why are we so enthralled by the reality of ET life? What would happen to our consciousness if we learned they were real and that there were millions of races? How would daily life change?

The biggest secret behind why ET and UFO disclosure has been suppressed is something that isn’t discussed all that much. We typically hear about things like technology suppression, specifically energy systems. How do these crafts get here? What propulsion systems do they use? These questions lead people towards the reality that the technologies of UFO craft ultimately would disrupt our fossil fuel energy oligarchy so much that it would also collapse our economies in some ways.

Of course, this would not be such a bad thing. Why? Because when you consider that this would mean having endless and ‘free’ energy, cost for goods would drop dramatically. Not just that but, when you begin to examine the ease in creating systems based around abundance, it becomes incredible to consider what is truly possible.

An endless supply of food grown locally, everywhere! Endless energy, installed everywhere! Cars and building facilities that do not create pollution. We could essentially live in a society built such that we do not need to be enslaved by money or debt because abundance would simply become a natural happening of a society built with abundant technology, that’s harmonious, in place.

We can all see the value of such disclosures, and the reason why this would be covered but. But there is something even deeper.

The Biggest Secret

The question is, if we know these technologies exist, and they are being suppressed. And if we know that whistleblowers and people have already reverse engineered or built these things, and not all have been killed or threatened, what is the reason why these things are held back? Why do we still deny these realities en masse?

The truth is, it comes down to consciousness. We’ve been saying this since the inception of CE in 2009: solutions are there, but they won’t come until humanity is ready. What does this ACTUALLY mean to be ready? It means growing up enough as a race, that we can actually be responsible for what it is we will have access to. Not just that, but to be able to say we have ‘graduated’ in a sense, to say we are beyond our old ways.

advertisement - learn more

While that sounds like a loaded few sentences, and they are in a sense, all that is really being said here is, humanity has been stuck in a cycle of experience where we continually see everything, and everyone as separate from us. We are individuals, living out our identities and lives and we are simply here to survive. We believe the limiting ideas of what our reality is and should be and thus we create that reality consciously. Our collective belief about how our world should be is directly tied to what actually happens.

But there is this feeling deep within us at this time, and I know you feel it, where we are beginning to deeply question our ways. How we treat one another, our political systems, the elite manipulation and control that exists, the existential reality of who we are and how we are truly just consciousness, all connected. These deep questions are asking us to explore who we truly are and why we are truly here. And many of us are doing so. This is beginning to create instability and change in our system because the consciousness that holds up our old world, is beginning to crack, and a new one is emerging.

It’s On Us

As our consciousness continues to shift, through us truly doing our own questioning, changing our own patterns, habits, thoughts, and actions, we will begin to truly create the solutions necessary to create a world where we can thrive. And disclosure of technologies will come forth. It comes down to US having to do this work, not governments, not someone else coming to save us. It’s about creating an entire populace with the mentality of truly being empowered and self-responsible, as opposed to needed governance and feeling helpless.

This is why the greatest reason why ET reality is so suppressed comes down to consciousness because with an introduction to ET life, comes an entire myriad of experience we have not been exposed to.

In the video below I explain what this means deeply, and how we can begin opening up the doors to mass contact with ET’s.

Canada’s Premiers Sour On Carbon Tax: Positive Signs?

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

Justin Trudeau's Carbon Tax legislation seemed to be on track just a year ago, when 9 of 10 provinces had signed on to it. But times have changed, as today at least half of the Premiers are speaking against it.

  • Reflect On:

What does it mean if Canada, once on track to implement a Carbon Tax, is now having great difficulties getting it implemented? Does this mean people are starting to wake up to the fact that it is a money-grabbing hoax?

(Note: the video embedded down below by Annie Leonard is a clear and simple explanation of the Carbon Tax / Cap and Trade system. It might be of benefit to view this video first if you are unclear about these concepts.)

For a while, it seemed like the powers that be had won another high-stakes battle, pushing their cap-and-trade scheme through Canada by way of Justin Trudeau’s federal government. It was only a year ago that nine of ten provinces had agreed to Trudeau’s plan to usurp provincial jurisdiction and mandate a national carbon tax.

Now Saskatchewan, the lone objector at that time, has filed a reference case to its provincial court of appeal, arguing that the matter falls under provincial jurisdiction. And they are no longer the lone voice of dissent.

Ontario Bails

The newly elected Ontario government announced recently it would end the province’s cap-and-trade program, fulfilling one of Premier Doug Ford’s election promises.

“Cap-and-trade and carbon tax schemes are no more than government cash grabs that do nothing for the environment, while hitting people in the wallet in order to fund big government programs.”–Doug Ford

Citing the auditor general, the Ford government said the program could cost Ontario consumers and businesses C$8 billion, with a minimal impact on the province’s carbon emissions.

Other Provinces Join In

As this Financial Post article notes:

This week, going into the meeting of the premiers, the number of provinces supporting the Trudeau carbon tax looks like it’s down to five — or maybe even four. Soon it could be down to three.

Along with Saskatchewan and Doug Ford’s Ontario, Prince Edward Island has now said it will not accept Trudeau’s mandatory carbon tax. That’s right: a Liberal provincial government, under P.E.I. Premier Wade MacLauchlan, is now siding with conservative premiers in Ontario and Saskatchewan in fighting Trudeau’s federally imposed carbon tax. And in Newfoundland and Labrador another Liberal provincial government, led by Premier Dwight Ball, has yet to legislate a carbon tax. They wanted to wait, he said, to see what Ontario would do, first. They have their answer now.

There’s also Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister. You might remember he was in a rush to announce his own <less expensive> “made-in-Manitoba” carbon-tax plan a few months ago. More recently, Pallister’s government has said it is willing to take the Trudeau government to court so it can follow its made-in-Manitoba tax plan, not one made in Ottawa. Even New Brunswick’s Liberal Premier Brian Gallant, who is hosting the St. Andrews meeting this week, seems to be backpedaling on his support of a Trudeau carbon tax.

Power Shift

While most of the reasoning behind the political about-face of Canada’s Premiers is based on jurisdiction issues with the federal government, there may be more at play here. Behind the scenes, there may be a shift in power towards those who are not set to benefit from the cap-and-trade scheme. In the video below, Annie Leonard speaks about who is really promoting cap-and-trade and what kind of benefits they hope to get from it. She also indicates, as Doug Ford alluded to and Donald Trump has certainly said, the whole scheme does little to nothing for the environment or for humanity’s future.

I personally believe the whole CO2/Global Warming narrative to be a hoax. But that’s a story for another article. Even if the ‘science’ is true, Leonard makes it clear that with this cap-and-trade system, world leaders are merely promoting a complicated system designed to increases the wealth and control of the powers that be. Seeing a growing number of Premiers in Canada starting to line up against the cap-and-trade system is a sign to me that things may be going in a better direction.
