Is Your Inner State Angry, Frustrated Or Anxious? Here Is Why

Do you find yourself getting angry, frustrated, and anxious fairly regularly at things that you have no control over? Does a slow driver make your blood boil? Do red traffic lights bring up feelings of anxiety? Does someone else’s opinion feel like it hurts you? Do you sometimes shame yourself –“oh I should have done it that way, handled that differently, said something else…” Do other people and their actions create frustration in you?

We can train the mind to relate to things much differently. The truth is, we always have a choice as to how we relate to things. We always have a choice in how we feel. When someone drives slowly in front of us, what does getting frustrated or anxious achieve?

A Matter of Conditioning

We are conditioned to react the way we do. We have been conditioned to let things get to us so easily, and affect us in the way that it does. This conditioning can be undone though, and we can find peace more and more throughout our lives. We have this habit of being unsettled, distracted, thinking about the past, the future, or some fictitious scenario. We go over and over and OVER certain scenarios, certain conversations. But notice how this replaying never actually solves it; it merely replays it for us repeatedly?

So do you really want to be a sponge; absorbing the views of others, and acting in the way in which you were conditioned? Mindfulness (or attention training) allows us to see things in an unconditioned manner. This practice allows us to relate to what’s happening in a more wholesome manner, rather than the normal mode of reaction. Mindfulness -or meditation allows us to watch these emotions and feelings arise in us, and just by witnessing them –rather than identifying AS them -we begin to quell the unnecessary thoughts and emotions we were once conditioned to project.

I’d like to conclude this article by sharing a video that speaks on what I believe to be a closely related subject. One of the biggest reasons our inner state can often be so easily impacted is because we are always looking to everything outside of us to make us happy. Adyashanti reminds us that the only source of happiness not only lies within, but is also available to us all of the time.

  1. The issue that was exposed here was as if someone entered my head and wrote my problem with words. I find myself anxious and angry too many times. And it gets worse when I realize I can’t control it! Western society smashes us with hate, stress and futile things of all sorts. We can’t help to feel the way we do since the environment that surrounds us is a force stronger than people and it’s instantly trying to corrupt us.
I’d really love to have a huge “mind bath”

    1. Becoming aware about the existence of the problem is the very first step to get out of it. It’s nice to hear from you that you are observing your so called “problem”, because it shows that you do not want to accept it anymore. Most people not even become aware that the “problem” lies outside them, instead of it they think they are the problem. IMHO you should keep observing your anxious and angry states until them get dettached from you, because I think your “mind bath” has already began. Trust yourself.
      Wish you the best luck.

      1. environment is not a force at all,it is when you believe in it. you have to step out of the “game”
        then you will relax finally

        1. Hi Mitjasen
Environment is a force. Ask any kid who has been sexually abused by a stepfather or relative. Actor/producer Tyler Perry legally changed his name when he became 16 to rid his life and any connection once and for all from his abusive father. Some of us are strong enough to come out of it relatively unharmed, stronger for it and yes, step out of the game. However, many are not and suffer for the rest of their lives. Ask them if they relax!

          1. Mitjasen is right. The environment is not a force.

Likewise, albeit there can be forces in one’s environment (i.e. the wind, even the wind of peers), such forces can be mitigated (i.e. the jacket, ditching the so-called friends or not attributing so much credence to their pressure, even changing your last name might mitigate “outward” pressures of “the environment”).

Of course Perry was subjected to or forced to do things that he, perhaps, didn’t want to do.

However, one ought to remember that: what matters more than what has happened or even what is happening, is how one responds thereto.

    2. Hi Tiago. If you would like to give me your full documented names as on your birth certificate together with your mother’s maiden name and date of birth, I will run a quick check using Name Reality to see if there are any obstacles or influences preventing you from reaching your goals. Sincerely. Lyon.

      1. @Lyon Zonamyari, would you be here if you were not doing promoting for the “Name Doctor”?
Here is a great quote from the website namesdoctor ::

“My introductory fee to analyze your name is $150 US or 95 GB pounds.”

You come to the CE forum, offer a few free “name analysis”s and promote this site and your belief system/methodology.
Do you really believe this stuff, or is it just how your are making money this week?
This is not ad space friend, respect the format.

        1. The “Name Doctor” (if that’s what his personal philosophy ideology is called) is obviously a significant aspect of his life, perhaps even his job/work (even though I highly doubt it pays the bills in spite of how successful some palm readers and psychics have been in the past); so he might not be intentionally advertising his work… I mean, this would be a silly place to advertise in hope of gaining business if he were intentionally advertising his shit, so why not let him be? He’ll come around to his senses eventually.

    3. Man, I hate to be brash or frank, but take some responsibility in the matter. Only once you assume responsibility shall you have any chance of personally enacting change. You always have the last say in the matter. If a television program is peddling hate, change the channel or turn off the TV. If somebody is irritating you to a point by which you succumb to anger or angst, walk away or stop paying attention. You ought to take responsibility for the role you play in whatever it may be that you’re experiencing; You don’t have a choice, unless you consider anger and anxiousness and whatever a desirable or viable option…

  2. There are many forces that connect together making someone become who they are making them act the way they do, when they do. Date, time and place of birth are a starting point. Karma, DNA, family, education and environment, even what we eat, drink and breathe effects our physical and mental development.

I would like to introduce you to an almost lost and forgotten system that proves your given documented names affect your life, for better or worse. This is not a new hokey pokey theory and this is not numerology.

When conventional methods have failed to diagnose or cure a problem, visit http://www.namesdoctor.com and consider reading Name Reality by Lyon Zonamyari.

    1. Hi Lyon,

If we use the past or labels to define how we act, then are we not acting from conditioning, or acting out labels? I know that I am not my name, just as a tree isn’t anything to do with the word “tree.”

      1. Hi Andrew
You are entitled to your opinion, however, like it or not, you are the combination of all your names. This system is never wrong. As for trees, well I cannot pass comment there because Name Reality only applies to humans.
If you are interested to learn more, I am hosting a live telesummit on Tuesday evening 8pm EST discussing the life of Oscar Pistorius based on his names. The combination of his names/personalities and the revolving letters from each of his names that can be projected in a chart, clearly shows he was a time bomb just waiting to explode. Replays will be available for a limited time. Go to http://www.greatestyousummit.com look and listen, it’s free. A 31 page file on Oscar will be available online when the discussion begins or you can get one from me in advance.
Andrew….mmmm well Andrews either see the glass half empty or they see it half full. Which Andrew are you? With the name Barker which gives you an active mind, very direct, strong personality and not afraid of hard work, I will guess that you see it half full and want to fill it. That is assuming the letters in your chart are not negative in which case some negative traits from each of your names will begin to show.

        1. That said, I totally agree with your article. We are conditioned and we can train our minds to relate to things differently. I strongly believe and promote the laws of attraction. Happiness has to come from within. Some people find this easier to do than others. Your names can influence your life for better or worse. So my message to the people who have tried hard to change their life and failed, know it was probably not through lack of determination. It could be your names creating barriers blocking your progress.

        2. “Andrews either see the glass half empty or they see it half full. Which Andrew are you?”

That’s a hollow statement. It’s like saying “You are either pessimistic or optimistic, which one are you?” lol

Your name is simply a combination of symbols–each letter by itself–that one chooses to utilize in order to re-present oneself.

Your date of birth, also, for instance, is simply a combination of symbols used to re-present a former reality, which can be used to remind oneself of or summon or invoke a memory of that former reality. That’s all there is to it.

How do you figure that one’s date of birth is, foremost, a force and, second, a force that effects or influences one’s life?

          1. [Your DOB is a combination of symbols used to reference* a former reality.]

          2. Hi Anthony
My statement was not hollow, it is a fact. Every name has a positive or negative side. It is the combination of your names that bring out one or the other. Did you not read my comment immediately after saying,”with the name Barker which gives you an active mind, very direct, strong personality and not afraid of hard work, I will guess that you see it half full and want to fill it.”

Full date of birth is not used in this system like with numerology which indicates in part, your life purpose, or as you rightly say “re-present a former reality, which can be used to remind oneself of or summon or invoke a memory of that former reality.” Yes we re-incarnate again and part of our purpose is to make good what we failed in the last life.

How do you figure that one’s date of birth is, foremost, a force and, second, a force that effects or influences one’s life? – as I said previously, this system only uses the number of the day you were born. However, you already answered the second part when you correctly say letters and numbers are a representation of symbols.

Your name emits a frequency, like the keys on a piano.
Any one name is for the most, is good. You can touch any one key on a piano and it will sound good. Sure, some keys sound a little better than others, but any one key emits a sound or vibration that sounds nice. When you press two or more keys at the same time or play with two hands, it is important you press the right keys. If you press the right combination of keys, you produce beautiful music. If you press the wrong combination of keys, at best you are out of tune, or worst, you become a dreadful noise. Your names apply a similar action.
You are a musical instrument. Your body and the conditions of your life are the result of the harmonies or discords played by you or upon you from day to day, by your own personal name. It is bringing you good, or it is bringing you harm. It is bringing you strength or it is bringing you weakness.
The sound of music produced by a piano can be documented with Sheet Music. The vibration produced by your names can be documented with Name Reality. What tune do you play?

        3. (It wouldn’t let me post this as a reply to the actual comment(s) I’m replying to, so I’m posting it here. I hope there isn’t any confusion.)

I disagree that “every name has a positive or negative side”. That might be your belief, but it is not a fact.

Since you won’t listen to me, perhaps you’ll listen to Shakespeare: “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.”

You’ve misquoted me. I didn’t say that “letters and numbers are a representation of symbols.” What I said and will continue to say, because this ought to be grasped, is that: Letters and numbers are symbols; Letters and numbers can be and are utilized to re-present and symbolize reality and, in some cases, unrealities.

Again, I disagree; Your name doesn’t emit any frequency whatsoever, just as the keys of a piano do not emit any frequency whatsoever. But of course a sound wave (assuming that is what you are referring to by use of the word ‘frequency’) is emitted when your name–or any name for that matter–is spoken.

“Any one name is for the most, is good. If you press the wrong combination of keys, at best you are out of tune, or worst, you become a dreadful noise.”

All the sound emitted by a piano that is being played is noise. There is no “right” or “wrong” keys to play, just as there is no “right” or “wrong” combinations of keys to be played. Whether one key or one group of keys sounds better or more right than another depends entirely upon the one who is listening–or rather–on how the one who is listening relates to what it is that is being listened to.

A lot of this thus far has been a matter of semantics, but you still seem to overlook a significant truth.

“Your body and the conditions of your life are the result of the harmonies or discords played by you or upon you from day to day, by your own personal name.”

Again, for the sake of reason, for good reason, I disagree. The “harmonies or discords played by you or upon you” is not a matter of names or symbols but a matter of relation! In other words–to put this very simply–harmony and discord is a matter of relation.

What one ought to be asking onself is: A relation between what and what? Mind and body? Information and matter? Unreality and reality? Subject and object?

Is there relationship balanced and in tune with one another, thus, creating harmony? Or is there relationship unbalanced and out of tune with one another, thus, creating discord?
