Snowden’s Revealing Tweet Exposes Exactly What Our TV’s Are Doing To Us

Published

on

Four years ago, Edward Snowden accomplished one of the most significant intelligence leaks in U.S. history, confirming to the world that the government really does spy on you. Two years later, Samsung casually warned the public that their Smart TVs could record their living room banter.

Now, even if you’re alone in a room, if that room contains a laptop, computer, or Smart TV, it’s possible that someone out there is listening to you, and even watching you. The worst part? You wouldn’t even know.

A new technology called TVision Insights was recently launched, allowing companies to monitor TV watchers’ viewing habits. This means that they can literally watch you as you watch TV, and the technology even records data on where your eyes are looking, when you’re distracted, and what emotions you’re conveying.

How TVision Insights Watches You Watch TV

I first came across the technology when Edward Snowden tweeted the following image on February 26, 2017.

17078151_1791722484176014_1670570206_n

As you can see, not only can the companies watch you watch TV, but the technology is intelligent enough to pick up on your facial expression, engagement level, and other significant data. This information has provided insight into not only what shows people watch the most or are the most engaged in, but what commercials they prefer to watch as well.

TVision was co-founded by Dan Schiffman and one of his classmates from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. Through the installation of a Microsoft Kinect device, most often used for Xbox video games, on top of TVs, TVision tracks the movement of people’s eyes in relation to the TV. The device can then record even tiny shifts from everyone in the room, and then the company matches the movements to what they’re watching.

The device’s sensors can record minute shifts in all of the people in the room. The company then matches those viewing patterns to shows and commercials using technology that listens to what is being broadcast on the TV.

Since the technology is still very new, it’s currently being voluntarily tested on 7,500 people in the Boston, Chicago, and Dallas-Fort Worth areas (source).

Obviously there are privacy concerns here. The company states that they aren’t storing any images or video footage, and it’s only a voluntary installation, at least for now. But we’ve already seen companies and the U.S. government abuse similar software to spy on us.

How can we guarantee this information won’t be publicized or sold to corporations or the government, since that’s already happened in the past? Where do we draw the line between wanting the latest technical gadgets and wanting to secure our privacy? Is it even possible to have both anymore?

Your TV Could Be Watching You Already

This isn’t the first example of surveillance through TVs, and it probably won’t be the last. In early 2015, Samsung released a statement warning customers that their Smart TVs were capable of listening to and recording conversations.

These TVs have voice recognition software, but this fancy piece of technology comes at a price, and that price is a complete and utter violation of privacy. Samsung actually warned its customers not to have important conversations or disclose personal information in front of their Smart TVs because the audio can be recorded and then transmitted to unidentified third parties.

Samsung’s privacy policy in regards to the TV actually reads: “Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party.”

You can read more about the Samsung controversy in our CE article here.

Vizio TVs were also found to record people, but the company had to pay $2.2 million to settle charges for collecting and selling footage from millions of TVs without the knowledge or consent of its viewers. This is a pretty fair settlement given the fact that they had sold 11 million of these smart TVs. One can only imagine how many people were directly affected by this.

The software, Smart Interactivity, was marketed as a feature that “enables program offers and suggestions” for users. However, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Vizio didn’t actually offer any of these programs or suggestions for more than two years after being sold. The FTC suit, which was filed alongside the Attorney General of New Jersey and the Director of the State’s Division of Consumer Affairs,  claimed that Vizio and its subsidiary, Inscape Services, sold data to third parties (source).

The data collected was able to show what programs and commercials people watched, and when. It could also measure the effectiveness of advertisements, as it would use the IP address attached to all of the internet-connected technological devices in your home to see if you recently searched for anything in regards to that commercial. For example, if you watched a McDonald’s commercial and then ordered McDonald’s on your phone, the software would pick up on that and confirm that the commercial was successful. The software can also do this in reverse, so if you see an ad online for a cool show and then you decide to watch it after, the software would pick up on that, too. The software could also target ads to people on their other devices, like phones or laptops, based on what they just watched on TV.

Although Vizio never publicly identified the companies they sold their data to, the FTC claimed that it included personal information like “sex, age, income, marital status, household size, education, homeownership and household value” (source).

How Do We Take Back Our Privacy?

If you own a Smart TV, don’t stress too much! There are ways to opt out of these features (although who knows if this is guaranteed, but it’s certainly worth a shot). Just do a quick Google search and you can find out how to opt out of Vizio and Samsung Smart TVs, if not more.

It’s well-known now that laptop cameras and microphones are easy targets for hackers, particularly if those hackers are U.S. government agencies, as they can be activated remotely (and you may not even know it because that little green light next to your camera won’t necessarily turn on).

The entire CE office tapes over their laptop cameras in order to prevent anyone from potentially spying on us. Even Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg tapes over his laptop camera and microphone as an easy defence against people spying on him. I encourage you to do the same!

The reality is that we live in a world where everything is recorded and privacy isn’t always a choice anymore. There are little things here and there that we can do to avoid being taped or listened to, but that seems to be getting more and more difficult. We live in a technologically driven world, so it’s crucial that we voice our opinions and fight for our privacy. Even if you feel like you don’t have anything to hide, you should still have the right to do so!

Ex USAF Colonel & Boeing Engineer Explains What Really Happened During Apollo 13

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

Colonel Ross Dedrickson, a high ranking military man who spent a long service with the Energy Commission between 1950-1958, claims that the problems with Apollo 13 were handled with care by extraterrestrials.

  • Reflect On:

UFOs are no longer taboo and their existence has been verified via documents, photographs and videos released by dozens of governments. To complement this, we have witness testimony. The common theme is that many crafts are extraterrestrial.

Now that mainstream UFO disclosure has taken place and more information continues to be brought to light, more and more people are opening up to the idea that some of these UFOs, which are tracked on radar, photographed and videotaped, are extraterrestrial in origin.

This belief comes as a result from multiple factors, one being credible witness testimony by hundreds of military personnel from all ranks for decades, as well as other researchers, academics, ex-intelligence agency personnel, astronauts, etc. These testimonies compliment the hard evidence that’s already been collected. The ‘UFO problem’ has been subject to the questions of who, what, why, where and when, the only problem is those questions have been asked and answered by those who work within black budget special access programs, programs that are so sensitive that they’re exempt from standard reporting requirements from Congress, as described in this document.

For the latest updates in mainstream UFO, you can refer to this article which discusses materials that have been collected from these objects, among other things, and for the latest updates regarding mainstream UFO disclosure.

So, have we been lied to for decades? Former NASA Astronaut and Princeton physics professor, Dr. Brian O’Leary (who was recruited by Carl Sagan to teach at Cornell University) have accused Sagan on being involved with covering up this information. He even accused Sagan of fudging evidence regarding the ‘Face on Mars.’ You can see what he said, and read more about that in-depth here.

The very first director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter, told the world that there has been an official campaign of ridicule and secrecy to cover up for the fact that UFOs are real, and that some of them are indeed extraterrestrial. He did so to the New York Times in 1960.

With the recent admittance of the existence of UFO’s by multiple countries, lead by the To The Stars Academy in the United States, another factor having some believe they are extraterrestrial, including Louis Elizondo, who used to be a director of one of the UFO study programs within the Pentagon, is the fact that the objects are observed performing maneuvers that defy our laws of physics and aerodynamics.

So far, apart from that statement given on CNN, he has emphasized how their group is purposely steering away from the extraterrestrial question for now and simply focusing on the objects because there are a lot of feelings that come up when discussing this topic.

I will tell you unequivocally that, through the observation, scientific methodologies that were applied to look at this… That these aircraft are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory… My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone, whatever that means.

Unfortunately, there always seems to be a “threat” narrative from the mainstream…

The secrecy on this subject, as you can imagine, runs very deep. Everything is compartmentalized, and everybody who has experienced or been a part of these programs is aware of that.

Sure, we are seeing mainstream disclosure, but this topic leaves no aspect of humanity untouched. If there is a secret space program, if governments have catalogued multiple species of beings, if there is new technology and new propulsion systems that “utilize the wheel work of nature,” then how does one expect those who control the secrecy around this subject to simply disclose it? We should have had mass transparency from the very beginning, but this world of secrecy has developed so much that it’s nearly impossible to get the entire truth out about multiple things within this subject. Technology, extraterrestrial intelligence, and all of the questions you can think of have been the subject of inquiry for years, and we’ve been left completely in the dark.

Disclosure will lead to corporate collapses, like the oil industry. It would lead to lawsuits from various private military contractors, the list is huge and the implications of the disclosure are just the same.

The largest benefit could most possibly be the impact on human consciousness and our awareness of metaphysical realms, non-material science would no doubt get a big boost.

Whether this was done to protect corporate/government interests or simply because it was ‘too big’ for the human mind to comprehend and accept is up in the air, but it seems to be a good mix of both.

Apollo 13

When it comes to astronauts, it’s amusing how a select few receive media attention, and it’s usually the ones that attempt to debunk the ufo/extraterrestrial phenomena. On the other hand, we have a plethora of astronauts, perhaps even more than 50 percent of them in the United States, who have told the world that they know for a fact that UFOs are real, and that some of them are piloted by beings from somewhere else in the universe. Why is it that these astronauts don’t receive much attention, why are their words not taken as credible, and why are astronauts who debunk these claims instantaneously believed? Definitely strange to say the least.

The video below, however, is not from an astronaut, but a testimony from Colonel Ross Dedrickson. His testimony, as well as obituary states:

He was assigned to the US Atomic Energy Commission. A long service with the Energy Commission between 1950-1958 included, contract administration duties at Nevada test sites, Pacific Nuclear Test Area west of Hawaii, nuclear weapon manufacturing and quality assurance in Albuquerque, and inspection of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities throughout the country. He served with the 5th Air Force in Japan and later as a ranking Colonel, Officer in Charge of the Pacific Unified Command (TM)s alternate “command and control center” in Hawaii. In 1962, he was transferred and served as Deputy for Material for the 832 Air Division at Canon Air Force Base, Clovis, New Mexico. He retired from the USAF in 1964.

Did we go to the Moon? We’ve written a number of articles explaining why we feel that yes, we did, but the official story we’re told about the Moon doesn’t really add up. Sources for these claims come from within the industry, as well, from military personnel to former NASA employees, intelligence officers etc. Colonel Dedrickson is a great example.

Made popular by Hollywood, Apollo 13 became known as the journey to the Moon that experienced technical difficulties, making it difficult and near impossible for the craft to return home. According to Dedrickson:

A spacecraft went to the rescue of Apollo 13, and they accompanied Apollo 13 on their voyage around the Moon back to Earth. And on two occasions they thought they might have to transfer the crew to their spacecraft, but they saw them safely back to Earth.

He gives a lot more information in the interview below, so take from it what you will. I published an article prior to this one about his statements claiming extraterrestrials would not allow the detonation of nuclear weapons on the Moon for our own scientific measurements, those comments are also from this interview.

The Takeaway

The takeaway message is that we are not alone and that this topic is moving outside of the debatable realm every single year. The implications of ET disclosure are huge, it really changes everything and brings up a lot of questions. Our civilization should be working in complete transparency, secrecy is only for those with selfish interests to protect. But the world is a mess, and this is and may have to be a process over many years. The methaphysical and spiritual imlications, among others like technological, are what awaits us if we can make the correct changes within, and become a more peaceful people.

The US Military Is Now Recruiting Soldiers Who Were Born After 9/11

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

The US Military is now able to enlist soldiers who were not alive when 9/11 happened, but it only seems to be exacerbating the problems the military is having in attracting recruits, despite having increased incentives and lowering standards.

  • Reflect On:

Is it possible that our awakening to the truth about war and the military is the main reason that recruitment is becoming so difficult for the US military?

Indeed, that title is worth repeating. The US military is now recruiting soldiers who were born after 9/11. And among other things, they are being recruited to fight in the ongoing war in Afghanistan, the first of several wars that the US government used 9/11 to justify. Still going on after almost 18 years? I guess the US government, or should I say the Deep State behind the US government, hasn’t completed their ‘business’ there. That now-famous line in the Neo-Conservative handbook ‘The Project For A New American Century’ is perhaps worth bringing back here. In speaking about a ‘transformation’ in the Middle East that needs to take place in order for the US to maintain and even enhance their supremacy in the region, the manifesto notes that,

“Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event–like a new Pearl Harbor.”–The Project For A New American Century

Of course creating a new Pearl Harbor was one of the major intentions of 9/11–not only to foment public opinion in favor of going to war against the bad guys in the Middle East (except Saudi Arabia, of course, the only Middle Eastern nation actually tied to 9/11), but also to build enthusiasm for more army recruits to sign up and die overseas for the global elite, err, I mean, their ‘country.’

And were they successful with this ploy? I guess it depends on who you talk to, and what would be meant by ‘successful’. The wars launched on behalf of 9/11 were resisted from the get-go by people who were already awake to what was going on underneath the cover of geopolitical rhetoric. And many more awakened when the inconsistencies in the 9/11 story and false premises like ‘weapons of mass destruction’ became part of global discourse and the subject of many documentaries.

But maybe the global elite still consider it a success. After all, they were able to kill a lot of people and make a lot of money, while gaining more of a military presence in the region from which to better bully countries. But have they now backed themselves into a corner, relying on a narrative that is no longer sustainable?

Recruitment Issues

Certainly, 18 years later, this same war in Afghanistan is not inspiring the same recruitment fervor, as this Buzzfeed article notes:

advertisement - learn more

As the war in Afghanistan enters its 18th year and the US Army falls thousands short of its recruiting goals, the Pentagon is recognizing it has to do something different to recruit an age group that does not remember 9/11 and for whom the “war on terror” has been background noise their entire lives. This includes rethinking some of its traditional military PR, which has unintentionally turned the corner from inspiring to morbid by highlighting that some of the young people enlisting today are taking over the same tasks in the very same places their parents fought almost a generation ago.

This must be disconcerting for second-generation recruits: while they are being told that their efforts to fight overseas will ‘make a difference,’ they have first-hand knowledge that in addition to all the death, dismemberment and PTSD they must have heard about, and in some cases directly witnessed, that the time their elders have spent in Afghanistan over the past 18 years has not made the situation any better. It has not improved the United States, the country that was invaded, or global security in general.

So that being the case, it might surprise you to know that, according to statistical research done for the year 2015, recruits who already had a relative in the military represented a full 83% of all recruits in that calendar year.

The Rise Of The Warrior Caste?

The army reasons that there is a rise in the ‘warrior caste,’ which comprises the groups of American families that have the ethic and patriotism to ‘bear the burden of a nation at war.’ But is this an accurate assessment? Does this notion not stem from a foregone belief that most Americans still endorse the wars that have been fought and continue to be fought since 9/11, but they are simply leaving it to other citizens to go through the rigors of ‘fighting the good fight’?

In many cases I actually believe that the propensity of family members continuing to join the army stems not from a generational patriotism as such, but from the greater difficulty they may have in shifting their perception about the true underlying motivations behind military aggression.  They would need to acknowledge the fact that not only they but their respected older family members have all been duped by a false narrative. I assume many must continue to cling to the threadbare notion that the military is going around the world invading countries to bring freedom, foster true democracy and make the world safer for American citizens–unless of course they were only in this killing game for the money.

And speaking of money, the military actually has been increasing its offer of financial compensation in order to reach its quotas, as well as lowering its standards for a new recruit’s history of mental illness, according to this USA Today article:

People with a history of “self-mutilation,” bipolar disorder, depression and drug and alcohol abuse can now seek waivers to join the Army under an unannounced policy enacted in August, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.

‘Nuff said.

The Trust Gap

Would it be a surprise to the top brass in the military that recruitment is down simply because most people no longer trust the military or the U.S. government? Or that fewer people are willing to go overseas and kill people for no apparent reason?

People are waking up, getting smarter, despite Deep State efforts to keep people dumbed-down. There is a trust gap between citizens and the military, and it’s getting wider by the day. What would help recruitment, Military PR department? The truth. Yes, we can handle the truth. If people had real reasons to believe that they were actually fighting for individual rights and freedoms, and a better life for their children, the recruitment lineup might be a little longer. If they believed that the military was really about the defense of traditional American values, then a career in the military might make more sense to them.

But any argument about truly using the military for defensive purposes would naturally imply that there is not such a need for America to have military presence around the globe. Then the notion popularized by Ron Paul and others that we should close our bases in other countries and bring all our troops home to focus on defending our borders would become the rule of the day. And then the tremendous amount of money spent on the military, if not being outright reduced and diverted to matters of domestic importance, could be used to support great projects at home designed to improve the lives of American citizens.

Of course, none of this can happen, until the military is wrested away from the Deep State and put into the hands of ‘We the People’, to serve OUR best interests, as the Constitution meant it to be. In the meantime, let’s just enjoy the goods news that a swiftly decreasing number of young people in America are willing to go overseas to disrupt and control other nations by force.

The Takeaway

The power of the Deep State is only as great as the extent to which people are willing to continue to take up arms and fight for causes that we are clearly seeing are unjust. Many in the past were brainwashed into thinking that they were fighting in wars for important values and principles, like ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy.’ As we awaken to the truth of our history, and our unwitting complicity in unnecessary conflict in the world, the way of global peace and unity will become clear to us.

How We Can Deal With The ‘Chaos’ Of Elite Pedophilia, ET Disclosure, & Other Big Truths (QA)

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

At the moment, many truths are rising to the surface of our society that is bringing up a multitude of emotions. In this weekly Q&A, we discuss how we can effectively handle and move through learning these truths on a collective scale.

  • Reflect On:

Are you taking the time to truly understand and process what is rising to the surface of ourselves as we learn about what is happening in our world? Are we dismissing this as negative and ignoring the opportunity to grow?

This week the question that came up was about how we deal with many of the big truths or revelations that are collectively coming to the surface in our society. Things like corruption, the cabal, elite pedophilia, ET disclosure, sexual abuse and so forth.

It also seems like each day we are learning more truths related to these topics, and they are also becoming hard for us to ignore and continue to pretend they are just ‘negative’ things to discuss. So the question of “how do we deal with the internal and collective ‘chaos’ that sometimes comes as a result of learning these truths” becomes a big one.

For some, fear arises. For others, anger, despair, worry, and confusion. In some ways, on social media we see huge wars taking place surrounding these topics, and through the mainstream media, societal divides are being fuelled. But I have also seen that for some, including myself, learning these things can create feelings of relief, understanding and freedom as we realize we were not crazy in what we thought and felt about what really goes on in our world. We may realize that life actually makes more sense when you begin to understand how our world truly works.

It’s an important discussion to explore how we can TRULY handle, individually and collectively, the truths that are coming forth and not end up at each other’s throats, but instead be able to truly process this stuff maturely – something that seems difficult at the moment, but not impossible. In the video below, we have that discussion.

Weekly Q&A For Oct 18th – 13th
