Amidst the majestic coastal mountains, epic waterfalls, and warm beaches of Costa Rica, the first Sustainable Living Expedition was, for me, the educational adventure of a lifetime, and there are many more on the horizon.

As a member of the team, my role was to provide hospitality, accompany guests on excursions, and write about our collective experience. Fortunately, the entire eight-day event, from February 27th to March 6th, was very well organized, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.

Alexander Hill, a nutritionist from New York City, described the event as “an incredible week of valuable information and wisdom for a new paradigm.”

Designed by social benefit organization Upward Spirals, the program helps guests create action plans for transitioning to a more sustainable way of living. Field trips to nearby projects showcase both innovative and low-tech systems of renewable energy generation, natural building, food forestry, organic farming, holistic education, regenerative business, and community development. Local experts provide valuable knowledge and practical experience with demonstrations and hands-on workshops.

At the end of the experience, participants are equipped with a flash drive containing an extensive sustainability learning library with thousands of guides, plans, tools, and other digital resources to assist them in creating a regenerative future. By empowering visitors with systemic solutions while supporting local projects, the Expedition strengthens the local economy and ecosystems worldwide.

What Is Upward Spirals?

Upward Spirals is a nonprofit regenerative think tank and consulting company making it easier to live in balance with nature. We do this by building tools, templates, how-to guides, business plans, and social benefit programs that accelerate the co-creation of a sustainable society.

The Diamante Solution Center was established by Upward Spirals to accelerate the creation of an ecologically harmonious world by hosting wellness and educational events, developing local sharing economies, supporting organic food systems, and systematically empowering all organizations engaged in building a regenerative society. All profits are reinvested into social benefit programs to support regenerative economic development.

Other projects by Upward Spirals include the Costa Rica Learning Calendar, Organic Directory, Community Days, Social Enterprise Development and Regenerative Business Optimization.

The Diamante Valley is located between San Isidro and Dominical in Southern Pacific Costa Rica, one of the most biodiverse places in the world and home to an incredible number of ecotourism, reforestation, conservation, and permaculture projects. The valley extends southward from the epic Tinamaste ridge to the confluence of two pristine watersheds, featuring the spectacular 200-meter Diamante Waterfall and the massive double-cascading Baru Waterfalls.

The Center encompasses 55 acres of lush rainforest, organic gardens, hundreds of fruit trees, and comfortable accommodations, with direct access to the top of Baru Falls, a peaceful river upstream, natural swimming pools, and stunning views of the wildlife corridor below and sunset over the coastal mountains.

The Adventure Begins

As the guests arrived, Murray Dodds, a DJ from Edmonton, Alberta, described his first impression as, “like stepping into a tropical paradise with an astounding river, waterfalls, and fruit trees.”

Murray and several others had just attended the nearby Envision Festival and were exhausted upon arrival. We welcomed everyone with open arms and a nourishing lunch. After a brief orientation, some guests rested in hammocks, others recharged in the the river, and Asja Music, head chef and yoga instructor at Diamante Center, prepared a delicious dinner with local, organic ingredients. Later in the evening, we gathered around the campfire for an opening circle to get to know each other better.

In the mornings, Asja taught yoga on the rainforest deck while I prepared breakfast. We enjoyed most lunches off-site during excursions and returned in the evenings to a delightful array of dinners by Asja that participants raved about.

Jennie-Rose Saunders, an environmental scientist from Ventura California, joyfully exclaimed, “This is some of the best food I’ve ever had!”

Beyond the phenomenal cuisine, guests were also impressed by the beautiful setting and amenities, professional service, hands-on learning, and valuable lifelong connections.

Miles Radin, Interpretive Naturalist for Yosemite National Park, shared, “Words cannot describe how much I learned in eight days with the Upward Spirals team. Their organization brought me to places I otherwise never would have found, and introduced me to pioneers of sustainability I otherwise never would have met.”

The Schedule

Our daily flow of activities was generally as follows:

  • 5:30 am — yoga and meditation
  • 7:00 am — breakfast
  • 8:30 am — depart for first destination
  • 9:00 am — workshop or presentation
  • 1:00 pm — lunch
  • 2:00 pm — second destination or follow-up discussion
  • 5:00 pm — return to the Center
  • 6:00 pm — dinner
  • 7:30 pm — campfire

The Destinations

  • Vida Auténtica: After visiting the local farmers market, Feria Tinamaste Agricultura, Melissa Sweet explained how her non-profit organization has evolved from educating farmers about organic agriculture, to building greenhouses for their graduates, to establishing the farmers market. In just three years, it has grown to include an astounding variety of fresh food, artisan products, and professional services. Vida Autentica has since started an annual Seed Exchange and led a grassroots movement that successfully banned the use of toxic agrochemicals in public spaces countywide.
  • Veganissimo: Paulo Paris shared how he prepares his nut/seed-based vegan foods to sell at the market and local stores, and how he grew his small business to support the wellbeing of his family, community, and environment.
  • M & B Organico: Master organic farmers Bolivar and Marjorie brought us on a tour of their organic food production and distribution business. On a relatively small quarter acre, they grow enough food to feed their family and friends, sell at market, and deliver to nearby organic restaurants. The robust health and diversity of plants in their greenhouse was a testament to the efficacy of organic agriculture.
  • Diamante Center: The tour of our home base was led by local guide Tim Johnson, along with Travis Britzke, permaculture adviser for the center and founder of Regenesis2020. We learned how the land was regenerated from clear-cut cattle pasture to a thriving food forest, and how sustainable structures were built from repurposed and renewable materials on site. We also considered the practical factors guiding the ongoing development of infrastructure.
  • Estrella Azul: Founders Roguer Kehler and Chantelle Mironuck told the captivating story of how their young family transitioned from Canada to Costa Rica and converted a deforested property into a thriving homestead with microhydro electricity, food production, and site-appropriate structures. They also shared how they became stewards for the local holistic school and are now connecting with more families in this developing community.
  • La Joya del Sol: Renowned raw food chef, health coach, and expert arborist Eric Rivkin offered an amazing in-depth tour of his 167-acre off-grid homestead, featuring food production, reforestation areas, and renewable energy systems. After a delightful lunch demo, he taught the group about the personal, societal, and environmental benefits of a raw vegan diet.
  • Association Community Carbon Trees (ACCT): Jennifer Smith, the inspiring founder of this innovative nonprofit reforestation project, shared how her business model benefits the community, landowners, workers, volunteers, donors, and most importantly, the interconnected ecosystems around the world. While on site, we planted seeds and saplings to join over half a million diverse rainforest trees that Jenny’s team has planted near the equator.
  • Rusty Café: Nikki Rademacher and Alonso Jimenez welcomed us with delicious local organic food and shared their vision for a conscious restaurant serving and connecting the community.
  • Upward Spirals: Co-founder and sustainability strategist Eric Baudry, who co-developed the Expedition with HappE Roberts, led an eye-opening discussion on how the declining economy systematically converts nature and communities into financial commodities, and how we can use regenerative economics to create an ecologically balanced and socially just society.
  • Fuente Verde Organic Farm Community: Travis Britzke, who is also the farm manager at Fuente Verde, led a tour focused on turning degraded lands into a thriving community. We visited their restaurant at the SomerTime Inn for an outstanding lunch, followed by a panel discussion on ecovillage living at Upward Spirals headquarters.

Bringing Sustainable Living Back Home

On the last full day, we stayed at the Diamante Center for our closing session and final workshop on practical transition planning. After distributing the flash drives containing one of the world’s largest libraries of sustainability resources, tools, and guides, Eric and HappE met with guests individually to provide guidance for their personal projects. With their new wealth of knowledge, experience, and connections, participants were inspired and empowered to take action.

According to Eric, “We need to make it easier to live in balance with nature. People are ready to live closer to each other and in harmony with their environment. By showing them successful, thriving examples, we’re facilitating individual and societal transitions, creating local and global impacts. By simplifying complex sustainability challenges and solutions, including realistic paths to implementation, we’re making it easier to build a more beautiful future.”

Aychele Szot, a natural skin care artisan from Montreal, Quebec, expressed, “This experience helped me to understand and have a taste of what it is to live in harmony with nature.”

Brian Claypool, a health coach from San Diego, California, shared, “What an epic expedition! I feel so blessed to be with such beautiful souls, uniting in common purpose to create a regenerative culture. Inspired by the energy, wealth of information, resources, and connections we made, I’m ready to implement what I have learned in all areas of my life.”

It is a joy and an honour to be of service to such an impactful program with such integral values, innovative projects, and amazing people. Thank you so much to HUGS (hugs.world) for producing this incredible video and for helping to get the word out about these important projects! I am most grateful for the guests who made this first Expedition so much fun, especially with the impromptu dance parties that broke out as our caravan arrived at certain destinations. By the end of the week, our group felt like one big family, and the Diamante Center, our home away from home.Returning to his farm in Denver, Colorado, Derrick Mulcahy reflected, “I came to learn more about organic farming and sustainable building practices; to see how a community could be laid out and designed. I left with more love for myself, my fellow humans, the Earth, and all its creatures.”

The Bosnian Pyramid Complex: Larger, Older & More Mysterious Than Pyramids In Egypt

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

In 2005, a giant pyramid complex consisting of 11 structures was discovered in Bosnia. One of the structures is larger than the great pyramid. The majority of scholars who have been brought in to study it have little to no doubt that these are real.

  • Reflect On:

If these are indeed real and not mere natural formations, what are the implications? Pyramid structures bigger than Egypt, and also possibly much older than Egypt, would change everything we think we know about our past, and this is just one example.

If the Bosnian pyramid of the sun is genuine, and there is very little doubt in my mind that it isn’t, then we are confronted with the highest structure in the world, and also the tallest pyramid in the world – Phillip Copens, author and pyramid expert.

A few years ago, a discovery in Bosnia made headlines (2005) when it was announced that the world’s largest pyramid had been found near the town of Visoko, northwest of the Bosnian city of Sarajevo.

What’s very interesting about pyramids is that they’re not only found in Egypt but are spread out throughout the world, supposedly built by civilizations that had absolutely no contact with each other and roamed the Earth at different time periods throughout human history.

What makes this massive undertaking so common across history?

Fascinating isn’t it? What is it about these structures that basically had the entire world, thousands of years ago, construct them? What do they represent? Our history books are far from a valid resource, there are so many new discoveries being made with regards to pyramids and ancient archaeology that our education system simply cannot keep up with it all and discoveries in this area are so controversial that if something astonishing is actually discovered and it challenges our belief systems, it’s instantly categorized as false, or ‘pseudoscience.’

Thus, it becomes ridiculed and nobody will touch the subject in fear of their credibility. This is also a result of giving our consciousness away to external sources and not investigating these types of things for ourselves. This is especially seen when it comes to non-material science. No matter how many statistically significant results are published, or how many strange phenomena are observed in the lab, if it defies belief or we can’t explain it, it’s deemed as not real. In this sense, today, we have a lot of scientific dogma and a lot of discoveries that would change what we know about human history.

The Extensive Research

One researcher at the forefront of the Bosnian pyramid mystery is Semir Osmanagic, a Ph.D and a Bosnian born resident of the United States. He is a former Anthropology professor at the American University in Bosnia-Herzegovina and established a non-profit and non-government, Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation to pursue the excavation and geo-archaeological work. He is also a successful businessman.

Osmanagich has been admitted as a Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences in Moscow, one of the most respected scientific institutions in the world with over twenty Nobel-prize winners. He is also a member of Croatian Academy of Science and Art for Diaspora based in Bazel (Switzerland) since 2015. This all came after the discovery of the Pyramid complex…

He is the one who discovered this ancient pyramid in Bosnia, but it’s not just one, it’s an entire complex of what appears to be eleven, possibly artificial structures: The Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon, the Bosnian Pyramid of Love, the Bosnian Pyramid of the Dragon, the Temple of Mother Earth, Vratnica Tumulus, Dolovi Tumulus, Ginje Tumulus, KTK Tunnels, Underground Labyrinth “Ravne” and “Ravne 2” tunnels.

Below is a picture of the largest one. If it is what it appears to be, it’s the biggest stone structure in the shape of the pyramid on the Planet, with a height of 220 meters.

Outside of the Bosnian Pyramid, beneath the vegetation that has grown, are giant concrete conglomerate blocks. Below is a picture with Osmanagic standing next to them. It’s also noteworthy to point out the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon, with its height of 190 meters (second biggest stone structure in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids, together with the Sun and Dragon pyramids form a perfect equilateral triangle.

Another astonishing discovery below is a picture from Osmanagic of prehistorical underground tunnel networks that connects all 11 pyramids found within the complex, the tunnels run for tens of kilometres.

There are more coincidences and unexplained mathematical/geometrical/metaphysical anomalies you can learn about in his lecture linked at the bottom of this article.

This reminds me of the quiet discovery of liquid Mercury beneath a pyramid in South America. There is still so much undiscovered about pyramids, and to simply imply that they were used as tombs seems to be quite elementary. It seems that their explanation goes far beyond that, the mathematical precision we’ve seen from these pyramids around the world are astounding, and there are multiple coincidences that make one wonder if they were really just coincidences, like the fact that the speed of light, once plugged into google maps as a geographical coordinate, takes you right to the Great Pyramid at Giza.

Below is a picture of one of the Megalithic blocks in the underground tunnel network that have carved symbols that have been covered by conglomerate material for more than 30.000 years according to the radiocarbon dating.

First International Scientific Conference On The Topic

First International Scientific Conference about the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids was held in Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina) in August 25-30, 2008

“Modern day archaeology and anthropology have nearly sealed the door on our imaginations, broadly interpreting the North American past as devoid of anything unusual in the way of great cultures characterized by a people of unusual demeanour. The great interloper of ancient burial grounds, the nineteenth century Smithsonian Institution, created a one-way portal, through which uncounted bones have been spirited. This door and the contents of its vault are virtually sealed off to anyone but government officials. Among these bones may lay answers not even sought by these officials concerning the deep past.” – Vine Deloria

These pyramids caused quite a stir in the historical/archaeological/anthropological community. As a result, a scientific conference was arranged in August 2008 with more than 50 experts from Egypt, Russia, China, Poland, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Croatia, Austria, Montenegro and Bosnia. Out of this conference is where full support was given to establishing a Center for Pyramid studies in Bosnia. This wasn’t the only conference held on the matter, four more were held in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 with more than 100 experts from various scientific backgrounds, concluding that the Bosnian Pyramid complex is indeed the oldest on the planet.

Here are their conclusions, quoted:

Work at the archaeological location “Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids“ in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is an important geo-archaeological and epigraphical research that requires further multidisciplinary scientific research which should answer the origin of the Bosnian pyramidal hills and the extensive underground tunnel network as well as other archaeological sites in the vicinity;

ICBP Conference recommends that Second International Scientific Conference about the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids should be held in Sarajevo in two years (2010) and gather experts in pyramid research from all over the world;

ICBP Conference introduce the initiative to establish Centre for Pyramid studies with headquarter in Sarajevo;

ICBP Conference recommends universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to establish study at the graduate level for archaeology as a support to the reasearch project „Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids“.

Here is the source, as is also posted on the Osmanagics website linked earlier in the article.

Below is a list for a committee on the topic that came from the very first conference mentioned above, in 2008.

Ancient Energy Machines?

Osmanagic, as emphasized by researcher and author Jim Mars’ in Our Occulted History, has also been outspoken about radiocarbon dating that was conducted by the Institute of Physics of the Silesian Institute of Technology in Gliwice, Poland, which indicated that the pyramids at the site, the largest rising up to 722 feet, were constructed well before ten thousand years ago, which also makes it the oldest pyramid(s) in the world. This means that their construction might have happened well before the ones in ancient Egypt, or perhaps, simultaneously.

Here’s a quote from Osmanagic which also brings us to another topic, taken from Our Occulted History:

A team of physicists detected an energy beam coming through the top of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. The radius of the beam is 4.5 meters with a frequency of 28 kHZ (kilohertz). The bean is continuous and its strength grows as it moves up and away from the pyramid. This phenomenon contradicts the known laws of physics and technology. This is the first proof of non-herzian technology on the planet. It seems that the pyramid-builders created a perpetual motion machine a long time ago and this “energy machine” is still working.

Almost everything they teach us about the ancient history is wrong: origin of men, civilization, pyramids. Homo sapiens is not a result of evolution and biologists will never find a “missing link,” because intelligent man is the product of genetic engineering. Sumerians are not the beginning of the civilized men, but rather the beginning of another cycle of humanity. And finally, original pyramids, most superior and oldest, were made by advanced builders who knew energy, astronomy ad construction better than we do.

Osmanagic claims that these were also the general conclusions that emerged out of these conferences that were held multiple times.

Scholars in this area are very well aware of other factors that might explain the construction of these pyramids, and again, these other factors instantaneously go against the belief system of many, which results in a complete lack of investigation or any further mainstream study, at all, simply because it defies belief, and changes a lot with regards to what we know about ancient history. The very fact that these pyramids might be 30,000 years old is one example of the belief destruction that would occur with regards to our knowledge of ancient civilizations, and the questions of who, what, where when and why.

The Skeptics & Controversy

Despite the fact that world-renowned scholars in multiple fields, including ancient archaeology and other related fields, all, without a doubt, have claimed to have witnessed one of the most important discoveries of our type (this pyramid complex), coverage of the finding within mainstream publications was pretty poor. Labelling the formations as natural, and not really presenting any of this information to the public. Instead, in the mainstream, it was somewhat ridiculed and hardly even acknowledged.

Ask yourself, what would happen if the world acknowledged this older that Egypt period complex? What would it mean? How much of what we thought we knew would completely change? The careers built on Egyptology would have to adjust. This means having to let go of old ideas. Ego’s are very challenged by this and this is part of the challenge. It’s a personal development and consciousness issue.

Anthony Harding, a president of the European Association of Archaeologists, is one example of such skepticism, who’s stated (Our Occulted History):

Since such claims obviously belonged to a fantasy world, I was inclined to ignore the affair..

Right off the bat, without any investigation at all, he instantly ridicules the idea, despite the fact that it was the conclusion of many other scholars in the area.

He later wrote,

I called in at the hill of Visocica, on the edge of the town of Visoko, this solely in order to avoid the charge, already laid at our door, that we had condemned the project without seeing it for ourselves. As we expected, we saw areas of natural stone, with fissures and cracks; but no sign of anything that looked like archaeology.

He said this despite the fact that himself and a few other skeptics failed to explain the accounts and photos that were taken of the underground tells and champers within the complex…

The process of excavation is still ongoing, as it will take many years given the fact that this pyramid complex is so large and completely covered by natural vegetation and forest.

Again, this movement is not without criticism, as anything with such huge implications usually is…

Apple Will Start Tracking Your Calls & Emails To Assign You A ‘Trust Score’

Published

on

In Brief

  • The Facts:

Apple iPhone users will now have their data on phones calls, texts and emails track by Apple so they can be given a 'trust score.' They claim this data collection will help prevent fraud.

  • Reflect On:

Is this not just behavioural and user data collection disguised as 'trying to protect you?' Is this data going to be used to sell you more products? Or maybe sold to other companies? Do we have ANY reason to trust Apple?

Apple quietly updated their privacy policy with a new controversial ploy stating they will now collect user and behavioural data from iPhone users and claims it will be used to prevent fraud.  But is this really what’s going on? Let’s have a look.

We live on a great planet, and there are a lot of incredible people here. Let’s not forget that. At the same time, there are some serious concerns that are rising and need to be brought to light regarding the people that basically control our planet, this powerful conglomerate that sit atop the financial pyramid control everything, including politics. This group is often called the Deep State or cabal.

This is something that can be seen given many examples, one basic example is the power that corporate America has on government and how decisions are really made. It’s not the people deciding what happens, and what happens is hardly even ever disclosed to the public, and if it is, it’s hardly done so in a truthful manner.

We’re living in an age of mass surveillance and data connection, one which the global elite claims is for our own protection in the “fight against terrorism,” a fight and a war that’s been based on lies and completely fabricated, as emphasized, shown and explained by many politicians, academicians and researchers around the world. It’s an important narrative to share, given the fact that it’s one mainstream media refuses to touch.

If the reasons for mass surveillance are not actually for our own safety, and truly for ‘national security’ reasons, then what is it for? Why are they doing it, and why are they doing it in such a secretive, sneaky, and powerful manner?

“At least 80% of fibre optic cables globally go via the US, this is no accident and allows the US to view all communication coming in. At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US. The NSA lies about what it stores. The ultimate goal of the NSA is total population control.” – William Binney, a former high ranking intelligence official with the National Security Agency (NSA). He is one of the highest placed intelligence officials to ever blow the whistle

Bribery is also used, multiple politicians have explained how ‘men in dark suits,’ perhaps representatives of the Deep State that runs corporate America, and imposes its will on a global scale. When a president is elected into office, if they are elected, and not “selected” as Rosevelt once said, then they are most likely confronted with every piece of dirt that the Deep State has on them.

There are many things to consider, but ultimately, the agenda of those who control global politics remains intact no matter who is president, and those that become president are usually just puppets and ‘partners’ with this powerful group of international people.

All of this is important to mention whenever it comes to any type of surveillance or data collection activity. At lower levels of the spectrum, it’s also being used for profit, and our data, online habits, phone conversations and more are collected and sold to various corporations. There are even corporations teaming up with pharmaceutical companies to sell data related to your DNA. You can read more about that here.

We all know about data collection and Facebook, and other social media platforms…

Apple’s New Policy

The latest news comes from Apple, who just added a new addition to their privacy policy, stating that users of their devices will now receive individual scores based on the number of phone calls they make and emails they send. As they state:

To help identify and prevent fraud, information about how you use your device, including the approximate number of phone calls or emails you send and receive, will be used to compute a device trust score when you attempt a purchase. The submissions are designed so Apple cannot learn the real values on your device. The scores are stored for a fixed time on our servers.

All we get from these corporations are justifications for taking such action, and we buy into it. At the end of the day, we have a choice, and we can choose to support these products, or opt out for some better options.

The explanation seems too vague, how does knowing how many phone calls or emails one sends combat fraud? Is this just a complete lie for something else that’s really going on? The truth is, transparency in our world, especially our corporate world, has gone completely fell down the drain. Big corporations have become a political tool. Take a look at Facebook, which basically became a tool of the intelligence agencies, and agencies like DARPA used to collect massive amounts of data and spy on people.

Now, it’s being used as a tool to censor information and shut down a narrative that doesn’t agree with ‘them.

Facebook also convinced users and businesses to bring all of their people and practices over to Facebook to create a community, only to see that community ripped out from under them as Facebook essentially said “You can’t reach your community anymore, pay us to reach them.” Yet Facebook profited billions off the data of your people. Good old bait and switch.

The Takeaway

Are these corporations acting in a way that protects us? Or are we simply customers that represent billions in profit? Why do we continue to support corporations that these companies and what they do if we have other options? While we don’t yet know what this new data collection will be used for, can we not learn from the recent Facebook data scandals?
