The challenge: Below is a list of 10 documentaries we believe are a great series to inform ourselves about necessary areas of the world and lead us to begin shifting our consciousness and making changes. The challenge is to watch these 10 documentaries, or pass them onto others, and see whether or not getting through them will help you un-learn the conditioning we have come to accept over the years. These are not the only great documentaries out there on the subject, we will be providing a list of more below.
As you watch each one, be open to the new information that each presents. When each is complete, reflect on what is presented throughout the film and compare it to what we may currently have thought of the subject matter prior to watching. Use your gut feelings to determine what resonates most with you.
1.) Food Inc. – We kick things off with Food Inc because food and where it comes from is not only something that touches all of us but it’s very important for our health. Food Inc presents an unflattering look inside America’s corporate controlled food industry.
2.) Inside Job – Next we move to Inside Job as the truth behind who is orchestrating the financial system is important for us to realize as money is one of the main factors that enslaves each and every one of us. Inside job takes a closer look at what brought about the financial meltdown of 2008.
3.) The College Conspiracy – Let’s now move to our education system. Many are feeling that our education system is not only ineffective in properly teaching and encouraging people to think critically, but that the system itself is designed to limit a person both mentally and financially for the rest of their lives. The College Conspiracy is the most comprehensive documentary ever produced about higher education. The film exposes the facts and truth about the college and university education system.
4.) Earthlings – Now lets explore the various ways we interact with and treat animals on our planet. Earthlings explores the inhumane ways in which we not only treat animals at times, but how we go about mass producing them for their eventual slaughter. Earthlings is also about humanity’s use of animals as pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and for scientific research.
5.) Earth Days – Environmental degradation is not only something we need to become aware of, but our ver survival depends on doing something about it. Earth Days is the story of our growing awareness and understanding of the environmental crisis and emergence, and what we need to begin doing quickly in order to save our ecosystem.
6.) Thrive – We can now bring much of this stuff together into a single film that looks not only at various aspects of the system, but explores some interesting ideas about free energy and UFOs. The film also explores some basic solutions we can begin today in order to transition our world.
7.) The Collective Evolution 3: The Shift – By now you might realize that something is up with our world and we are in need of change. CE3: The Shift explores an unprecedented shift that is taking place right now across our entire world. Through science, ancient wisdom and metaphysical ideas, cE3 proves that we are in the most important time humanity has ever experienced and its time for us to embrace it and begin doing something about it.
8.) Zeitgeist Addendum – Next we can look a little deeper into our financial model as well as some interesting solutions presented from The Venus Project. Zeitgeist Addendum, attempts to locate the root causes of this pervasive social corruption, while offering a solution. This solution is not based on politics, morality, laws, or any other “establishment” notions of human affairs, but rather on a modern, non-superstitious based understanding of what we are and how we align with nature, to which we are a part.
9.) What The Bleep Do We Know? – Now let’s head down the rabbit hole a little further. What The Bleep Do We Know explores how our Universe and consciousness works. This film plunges you into a world of quantum physics and consciousness, where the viewer can explore through a story just how much our thoughts change our reality. 10.) The Collective Evolution 2: The Human Experience – We end the challenge off with a film that explores consciousness and metaphysical ideas at a rather deep level. CE2: The Human Experience is a documentary focused on showing each of the dimensions to the experience we call life. The documentary does this by addressing exactly who we all are, and why we are here. It further delves into each of the key pieces that make up the human puzzle, namely the planet, the body, and the ego.
